CBSE’s Aavishkar Quiz Series 2016 organised by CBSE to encourage students in Science, Maths & Technology. CBSE has launched "Rashtriya Aavishkar Abhiyan" (RAA) in order to engage and motivate student from 6-18 years, in Mathematics, Science, and Technology through observation, experimentation, inference drawing, model building, etc by means of Inside and outside class activity. Under RAA, CBSE Aavishkar quiz is being organised in order to increase the interest of students in Science, Mathematics, and Technology.The participation in Aavishkar Quiz is through school only. The CBSE Aavishkar quiz may conduct on any day during 1st to 15th October 2016. The theme for CBSE Aavishkar Quiz October 2016 is 'Sound and Music'.

Aavishkar quiz is open for all school students and it will be organised in 3 categories:

• Primary: Class 1-5
• Middle: Class 6-8
• Secondary: Class 9-12

CBSE Aavishkar Quiz Series - Stages of Quiz

The Avishkar quiz conducted by CBSE under the Union Ministry of Human Resource, Government of India is going to held in two stages that are given below. Candidates are advised to check the details of each stage.

• Stage 1 Quiz will be organised by the school and they will then submit names of the two winners to CBSE. The winners of the Stage One will be nominated for the Stage 2 of the Aavishkar Quiz
• Stage 2 is an online quiz that would be conducted by CBSE and the winners of Stage 2 Quiz will get a cash prize of Rs. 2,500

CBSE Aavishkar Quiz Important Dates

The CBSE’s Aavishkar Quiz will be conducted in 2 stages i.e. School level and Online Quiz conducted by the board. The prize will be given to the ten participants from each category.

• The total number of winners: Based on the performance of the participants in the online quiz, 10 winners will be selected for the award of the prize.
• Cash prize: The winners of Stage 2 of Aavishkar Quiz will be awarded the cash prize of Rs. 2,500 each.

For the First level, there is no need of any application as the competition is at the School level.  For the Second level, the details of the application process are as follow:

• The school need to upload the names of the winners in each category along with 2 photographs of the winners and a report in 200 words by October 17-18, 2016 till 5:00pm. 
• The specification of the photographs are as follow:
  • Image Format: JPEG
  • Size of Image: Max 200 kb
• The board will allot User Id and password to each registered winner of the First stage to let them compete in the Second Stage, the same will be sent to the principal of the School my the means of E-mail.

• The Best entries will be selected on the basis of Maximum score obtained and minimum time is taken to complete the online quiz.
• In order to claim the prize, Principal of the school shall send a bonafide certificate of the winner within 3 working days of the declaration of the result.

CBSE Aavishkar Online Quiz

• Venue of the Quiz: For the online quiz the participants have to be present in their own school on October 21, 2016.
• The online Quiz competition will be held under the personal supervision of the Principal of the school. The candidate has to login using his/her user id and password. Login is allowed only once.
• Timing of the Quiz: The quiz will be held in three categories as per the following schedule
  • Primary : Class 1-5 (9:45 a.m to 10:30 a.m.)
  • Middle: Class 6-8 (11:30 a.m to 12:15 p.m.)
  • Secondary: Class 9-12 (1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.)
• The link shall be available on www.cbseacademic.in under the link Aavishkar quiz fifteen minutes prior to the commencement of the quiz for each category.
• The total time duration for the quiz will be 45 minutes.
• There shall be a total of 50 Multiple choice questions with no negative marking. Attempting all questions is not compulsory.
• Winner: Once submit button is clicked, the score and time shall be saved and no changes can be made thereafter.The final selection will be based on the maximum score obtained and minimum time taken.

The name of the top ten achievers of Aavishkar Quiz is given below which was held in the month of October 2016. Their names are given in alphabetical order and are not according to the Rank/Position in the list. To claim the Prize money the Principal of the school have to send the scanned copy of Bonafide Certificate which is given on the official website of CBSE.
