About Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship
Australian Government Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships 2017 are administered by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training. The Endeavour scholarships and Fellowships aim to build Australia’s reputation for excellence in the provision of education and research. Australian Government Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are the merit-based scholarship and fellowships providing opportunities to Overseas students to undertake study, research or professional development in Australia.
The last date of Application Process is 30 June 2017. International Candidates can apply for any of the following categories of Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships:

Details |
Age: Applicants must be 18 years of age and there is no maximum age limit for the Australian Endeavour Scholarships. Citizenship: International Applicants must be a citizen or a permanent resident of a participating country and remain so for the duration of their programme. International applicants must not hold citizenship/ dual citizenship or permanent residency of Australia.
Eligible countries: Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China (People’s Republic), Hong Kong, SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea (Republic of Korea - South), Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam. Non-Eligibility Applicants who have already commenced their proposed Endeavour programme at their host organisation are not eligible to apply. |
Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship Reward
- Travel Allowance: $3000 (provision to pay up to $4,500 under special circumstances)
- Establishment Allowance: $2000 (Fellowships) or $4000 (Scholarship)
- Monthly Stipend: $3000 will be paid up to the maximum category duration on a pro-rata basis
- Health Insurance: The Health Insurance is for the full category duration (OSHC for international recipients)
- Travel Insurance excludes for the international recipients during the programme.
Endeavour scholarship recipients will also receive tuition fees paid up to the maximum study/research duration on a pro-rata basis
Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship Application form and Process
Endeavour Scholarship Application process can only be applied Online. Candidates must read the instructions and guidelines before filling the online application form. The last date to apply is 30 June 2017.
Registration: All the applicants have to register themselves first in order to apply for Endeavour Scholarship. The applicants need to enter their email address, first name and last name and click on register button.

Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship Required Documents
- The candidates applying for the Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship (international) and Vocational Educational Training Scholarship have to provide the following:
- A certified copy of an official, valid IELTS, TOEFL, CAE or PTE test result
- A transcript as evidence of completion of at least one year of undergraduate level study (minimum) conducted in English
- All Endeavour Vocational Education and Training Scholarship and Endeavour Executive Fellowship applicants must provide:
- An employment record/CV/reference and a letter from their current or past employer/s confirming their position and length of employment.
The candidates must scan and attach the following supporting documents to meet the scholarship and fellowship requirements:
- Passport or Birth Certificate or National ID Card
- Verification of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander
- Academic Transcript
- Formal Admission to an Australian Institution for 2017
- Enrolment Letter for research towards Masters or PhD Only)
- PhD Conferment for Post-Doctoral research only
- TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, PTE Transcript (if applicable)
- Employment records/resume (if applicable)
- Two Referee reports
- Host Nomination
Submission of the Application Form
The applicants must complete the Endeavour Scholarship Application form with all the necessary details and send the hard copy of the application form along with the above-mentioned documents to the following address on or before 30 June 2017:

Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowship Selection Process
Endeavour Scholarship and fellowship 2017 consists of three round or processes. They are as follows:
- Shortlisting candidates: The department will shortlist the eligible candidates within the following mentioned dates:
Assessment Round: After the submission of the application, all the eligible applications are shortlisted by the department using the selection criteria. The shortlisted applications are assessed against the selection criteria by an independent selection panel. The recommendations of the selection panel members are considered and approved by the International Group Manager, Department of Education and Training. The selection panel consists of three members, which include eminent academic professionals and government representatives. The Selection Process for all categories of the Endeavour Scholarships and fellowships are the same. The following are their selection criteria and their relative weightage:

Allocation Process: The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are merit-based, however, final selection may target specific participating countries and regions to support Australian Government international education and research priorities and emerging bilateral education and research relationships.
