About 21st All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival
21st All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival 2017 is organised by Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT for people of all ages. The participant has to create an audio/video/ new media of maximum 30 minutes duration and it must address/based on the children between 5-18 years OR on their teachers. Content must talk about children of varying cultures and backgrounds. 21st All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival is open to people of all ages and aims at showcasing the best audio & Visual Programmes produced for children & teachers.
The various categories are:
- For Primary School Students: Class 1-5
- For Upper Primary School Students: Class 6-8
- For Secondary School Students: Class 9-10
- For Senior Secondary School Students: Class 11-12
- For Teachers (of students from any of the above categories)
- New Media: This category is not available for audio programmes and comprises self-contained media programmes as websites or in interactive multimedia format and can be made for the school students or teachers.
The audio/video can be made on any topic/theme but should address the selected category.
The Festival is open to all the creative producers who contribute significantly to the process of broadening of the horizon of children and teachers through audio and video programmes.
- Candidates can submit their entries for only one category.
- The last date to submit entries is 27 February 2017.

The candidates who participate in the 21st All India Children’s educational Audio Video Festival 2017 will win cash prizes. The best entry in each of the sub-categories will win a cash prize in the format given below. Cash Reward will be given for best submission in each category as given below:

21st All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival Application form and Process
The participants can submit their entries for only one category. For multiple entries, they have to fill separate Registration Forms.
Registration Fee: Rs. 200
Guidelines to Submit the Entry
- Participants can only submit their entries for one category.
- CD/DVD Format: Entries must be in CD/DVD format in the highest resolution possible.
- Duration: Duration of the Audio /Video should not be more than 30 minutes.
- English/Hindi subtitles: If the entry is in any other language apart from English/Hindi, the entry must contain English/Hindi subtitles.
- Candidates must fill separate entry forms for Audio/Video/New Media programmes.
- Criteria for Disqualification: Entries will be disqualified if the entry contains:
- Obscene, violent, abusive content supporting/advocating gender/culture/racial/religious bias.
- Entries containing technical glitches.
- Entries which are in languages other than English/Hindi but do not have subtitles.
- Entries which have content other than the categories mentioned above.
Steps to Fill the Registration Form
- Download the Registration Form which is in the Microsoft Word format.
- Fill in the requisite details regarding your Audio/Video/new Media entry.
- Also fill your personal and academic details carefully and correctly.
- Save the file.
Submission of the Registration Form
The participants can submit their filled application form only via post. Take a print out of the Registration form. The registration Form must be sent along with the CD/DVD and a demand draft of Rs 200 issued in favour of “Joint Director, CIET, NCERT payable at New Delhi to the following address:

The entry should also contain an undertaking by the producer of the programme in relation to the production date. The entry will be disqualified if the undertaking is not enclosed.
Things to Remember
- CIET will retain a copy of the entry.
- CIET holds the right to telecast/broadcast the winning entries.
- The dates and rules of the competition can be revised by CIET.
21st All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival Selection Process
Entries will be shortlisted by a Short Listing Committee on the following criteria:
- Appeal: Must be appealing.
- Creativity: The content must be highly creative content and should demonstrate high artistic skills.
- Technical Skills: Should demonstrate excellent technical skills.
- The list of shortlisted candidates will then be judged by a panel of judges.
- The decision of the jury will be final and binding.
