CBSE to use on screen marking system for Class 10 evaluation
CBSE will be conducting an on-screen evaluation of marks. This system of on-screen evaluation will be done for the answer sheets of the students of class 10. This step will remove the doubt within the minds of the students that some of their answers went unchecked or that their marks have been calculated wrongly.

The answer sheet of every student will be codified, scanned and then sent to the examiner. “The examiner would check the answer sheets on the computer. No answer will remain unchecked as software will open the next page of scanned copy only after the examiner has completely checked the previous page,” said Kamal Pathak.
The totalling of marks will also be carried out by the system so that there is no scope of wrong marks to be added, said Pathak. This is to insure that no manipulation is made and once it is successful for class 10, it will also be implemented for class 12 from next year.
