JEE Main 2018 Changes - Some changes in the overall structure of JEE Main are made by CBSE, for instance, the medium of exams, changes in application procedure and no. of qualifying candidates for JEE advanced etc has changed. JEE Main 2018 brochure has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the application process for JEE Main 2018 will begin from 1 December 2017.

JEE Main 2018 (Join entrance exam) is conducted by CBSE for securing admission in UG engineering programs in IIITs, NIIT, and other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions). The exam will be conducted in offline mode on 8 April 2018 and online mode exam will be held on 15 and 16 April 2018.This year CBSE has made many changes in the overall structure of JEE Main 2018, read on for details of all the changes.

Increased number of Candidates for JEE Advance 2018
CBSE has increased no. of candidates to participate in JEE Advance after clearing JEE Main. Earlier the no. participating candidates was 2,00,000 but now CBSE has increased it to 2,24,000 which means now more students will be able to participate in JEE advance as compared to earlier.
Changes in JEE Main Application
The candidates who are applying for JEE Main 2018 will have to mandatorily upload signature of candidate's father/mother or guardian while filling the application form. As without the guardian’s signature, the application form will not be accepted.
Increased Number of JEE Main 2018 Exam Centres
CBSE increased the number of exam centres of India as well as outside of India also, 147 new exam centres are added this year. JEE Main 2018 will be conducted in 258 test centres. JEE Main 2018 exam centres outside India have also been increased to 10 by including Qatar in the list. Last year there were only 9 JEE Main exam centres outside India.
Changes in Medium of JEE Main 2018 Exam
This year JEE main will be conducted in English, Hindi and Gujarati. The Exam will be conducted in English and Hindi in all the exam centres. Test centres for the Gujarati language will be Gujarat, Daman& Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Last year JEE main was conducted in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Urdu.
