President Obama appoints an Indian American on Fulbright Scholarship Board
Obama appoints an Indian-American, Maneesh Goyal to Fulbright Scholarship board; Fulbright scholarship is a US State Dept scholarship for teachers & students.
United States president, Barak Obama, appointed another Indian- American in a key administrative post. Obama on Tuesday, the 29th appointed Mr. Maneesh Goyal to the 12 member J. William Fulbright foreign Scholarship board. His latest addition to the prestigious United states State Department funded Scholarship board, Mr.Maneesh Goyal is a the co-founder of Live in the grey, a consultancy which is focussed on workplace culture. Mr. Goyal founded his event marketing agency, MKG in the year 2001.
On appointing Mr. Goyal, Obama in a statement released by the White House said, ''These men and women have demonstrated knowledge and dedication throughout their careers. I am grateful they have chosen to take on these important roles, and I look forward to working with them in the months and years to come,”
The 12 member J. William Fulbright foreign Scholarship board handpicks the winners of the scholarships from the thousands of applicants and is also in charge of selecting students, teachers and scholars for the foreign exchange programs.
The Board also meets quarterly to establish policies for Fulbright Scholarship selection and operating procedures.
