Class 10, 12 Board Exams may be delayed in 4 States due to election polls. Due to election polls board exams in Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Karnataka states are likely to be delayed in 2018. The new schedule will be announced as soon as the election poll dates get announced by the Election Commission of India.

The same condition occurred this year when assembly polls were being conducted in five states Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh and the state board and CBSE board exams were delayed.

Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE, Gerry Arathoon, has confirmed the news and said that the board is waiting for Election Commission to release the dates for election polls in Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Karnataka states because all these four states are going to complete their terms in the month of March 2018.

The same condition occurred this year when assembly polls were being conducted in five states Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh and the state board and CBSE board exams were delayed. All the board are giving careful consideration to the current situation and the students from these states will have no more time to prepare for the board examinations.
