Understanding Closing Rank & Admission in top institutes

The closing rank is the last rank among the ranks of all the person by which the admission to a particular college is decided. Closing Rank is the maximum rank on which you are allowed to seek admission. In the year 2016, the top institutes of Hotel Management were inviting the admission until last round. Hence, the admission in these top institutes was open until the spot round. The details are given below:

• The students who got the rank up to 500 were allowed to seek admission into IHM Delhi, Pusa.
• Similarly, the students with 1000 rank who were opting IHM Mumbai were allowed to get admission
• On the other hand, the IHM Kolkata were inviting the admission up to the rank holders of 2200

Admission to IHM will be based on NCHMCT JEE Score - Check List of IHM

The BSc program in Hospitality & Hotel Admin. is offered in collaboration with National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) and the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The course is of 3 years duration. NCHMCT JEE 2018 is for admission into:

• 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management
• 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management
• 1 Public sector undertaking and 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management.
• 12 Food Craft Institutes and 2 SIHMs.
