JIPMER Counselling 2018 - Check JIPMER MBBS Counselling Process & Result

JIPMER Counselling 2018 has been started. The second round of JIPMER MBBS counselling will begin from 25 July. A total of 120 aspirants as per their merit rank has been called for JIPMER 2018 counselling. Along with that, candidates who have registered for first round are also eligible for second round of JIPMER MBBS counselling 2018. This means, in total 330 candidates have been called for JIPMER 2018 counselling. All the eligible candidates must report at JIPMER MBBS counselling venue at Mini Auditorium, 4th floor, JIPMER academic centre, Puducherry-6. It is mandatory for aspirants to report at JIPMER MBBS counselling centre for registration and allotment of seats. JIPMER counselling 2018 registration will begin from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. After the first round of JIPMER MBBS counselling, 15 seats have been left vacant in Puducherry and Karaikal campuses. JIPMER MBBS is the basis for admission to 200 MBBS seats offered by both campuses. JIPMER MBBS Counselling Round 2 Schedule

The eligible candidates are required to report at JIPMER MBBS counselling center as per the schedule mentioned below.

Required Percentile for JIPMER Counselling

Only the shortlisted candidates on the basis of JIPMER entrance exam are eligible for the counselling process. Candidates who secure less than the minimum percentile in JIPMER Entrance will not be selected for admission hence will not be called for the counselling process. JIPMER Counselling 2018 - (Step by Step Process)

The candidates called for counselling have to report at the venue site at the time on the date as mentioned in the call letter. Biometric fingerprint and the image verification of the candidates will be done on the day of the counselling.

• Time: 8 AM

Important points related to JIPMER Counselling

• If a candidate has opted for JIPMER, Puducherry, he/ she will not be allowed to change JIPMER, Karaikal & vice versa. i.e Sliding will not be allowed from JIPMER, Puducherry to JIPMER, Karaikal and vice versa. He/ She will not even be eligible for the second counselling.
• If a candidate who has not opted/ chosen in the first counselling. He/ She will be eligible to attend the second counselling.
• It is mandatory for all candidates to be physically present i.e in person for counselling on the day of the counselling.
• No request for an authorised representative on behalf of the candidates will be entertained. If a candidate fails to come for counselling in person, she/he will be marked absent and her/his candidature will stand cancelled
• The candidates who qualify for the counselling to the MBBS course has been declared and the status is available in JIPMER MBBS Merit List
• OPH Candidates should attend the medical examination one day advance before the day of counselling scheduled in order to certify their eligibility against this category.
• The candidate called for counselling have to report at venue site at the time on the date as stipulated in the Call Letter 

JIPMER Counselling - First Counselling Dates

The dates given below are of the first counselling which will be held from 27 June to 29 June 2018. The candidates can see the table below to get the counselling dates for the different categories. In each category, the total number of candidates to be called for the counselling will be 8 times the number of seats available in each category. 

OPH Candidates should attend the medical examination one day advance before the day of counselling scheduled in order to certify their eligibility against this category.

Documents to be submitted at the time of JIPMER counselling 2018

• Hall Ticket
• Rank Letter
• Six passport size colour photographs
• Proof of Date of Birth
• Passing certificate of the qualifying exam
• Statement of the marks of the qualifying exam
• Character certificate
• Residence Certificate issued by Revenue Authority
• Community Certificate (In case of OBC/ SC/ ST)
• Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied
• Medical certificate

JIPMER Second Counselling for MBBS

The Second counselling will be held on 25 July 2018. This round will be conducted only if the seats remain vacant after the first allotment round. The detailed schedule for JIPMER second counselling round will be declared later by the Institute. 

A candidate who is present for the first counselling but does not opt/exercise the option at his / her category rank will be eligible to attend second counselling.

The candidates who will not appear in the first counselling round will not be considered eligible for the second counselling round. The order of the allotment of seats in the second counselling round will be OPH/UR/OBC/SC/ST/Puducherry-UR/OBC/ SC &NRI/OCI. 

JIPMER Third Counselling Round

Third round for JIPMER Counselling will be held on 20  August 2018, however, this will be subject to availability of any seat remaining vacant after the second counselling due to the candidate's not opting or joining the allotted seats. 

JIPMER Open Counselling 2018

Open Counselling If any Seat remains vacant after the third counselling, they will be allotted through open counselling. The Detailed schedule for the Open round of counselling will be available on the official website of JIPMER by 29 August 2018. All the candidates who have cleared the entrance exam are eligible to attend the  Open Counselling round irrespective of their previous attendance and counselling will be on the basis of merit rank.
