CAT Registration 2018 Started - Fill CAT Application at iim.cat.ac.in

CAT Registration 2018 has started and candidates can fill CAT application online till 19 September 2018. A link to fill CAT 2018 registration form is available on this page. IIM Calcutta has released CAT registration form online at iim.ac.in and the CAT exam 2018 is scheduled to be held on 25 November 2018. CAT fee for registration is Rs. 1900 for the General category candidates while Rs. 950 for the candidates applying under reserved category. CAT 2018 registration fee can be paid only via online mode i.e. through credit card, debit card and net banking. Last year, 2,32,000 candidates applied for CAT exam and candidates can also see the CAT registration numbers of previous years.

Before filling CAT application form, candidates are required to complete CAT registration process. Only after successfully CAT registration process, candidates can fill the CAT application form 2018. Aspirants must note that after the submission of CAT registration form 2018, they won’t be able to edit any details. CAT Registration 2018 - Obtain CAT Login ID and Password (Step 1)

To start with the application process, candidates are required to fill and submit CAT registration form 2018 on or before the deadline. CAT registration process is online only. To start the CAT registration process, candidates are required to click on 'Registration for New User' as shown on the image below. Things to be filled in CAT Online Registration Form 2018

1. Name of candidate: The entered name must be the same as it appears on Class 10 or SSC Certificate
2. Date of Birth: Click on the calendar icon and select the correct date of birth
3. Email Address: The email address must be valid and remain active until the conclusion of the admission process
4. Country: The candidates have to fil the country while filling up the CAT registration form
5. Mobile Number: Just like the email address, the mobile number also must be valid and remain valid until the CAT application process ends

Things to be kept ready for CAT Registration 2018

For the CAT Registration process 2018, candidates need to keep the following ready. Check the list of CAT Registration Documents

CAT Application Form 2018 to be filled after Registration (Step 2)

CAT Registration form Academic Details

The candidates with the dual degree like Bachelor's and a Master's (BTech + MTech or BTech + MSc) have to enter the correct details in both the Bachelor's as well as Master's degree sections.

CAT Work Experience Guidelines

 If the candidates have any work experience, then they have to enter experience in completed months as on 31 July 2018.

CAT Registration 2018 Documents to be uploaded (Step 3)

 The candidates have to upload their Passport Size Photograph, Signature and NC-OBC/SC/ST or PWD Certificate (if applicable). The format of Certificate can be downloaded from the official Website of CAT IIM.

• Scanned recent passport size photograph
• Scanned Image of Candidate's Signature
• Scanned SC/ ST and NC-OBC Certificate (The certificate should be signed by the competent authority and should be self-attested)

CAT Exam Photograph and Signature Guidelines

The photograph and the signature should not be more than 80 KB in size.

CAT Registration Fees 2018 Payment - (Step 4)

 
Payment of CAT Registration Fees: In the final step, the candidates have to make the payment of CAT Application Fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking. The CAT 2018 payment partner, BillDesk’s payment page, will look like the given image. On this page, the candidates will have various options to make the payment for the CAT exam.

Submission of CAT Application Form 2018 (Step 5)

CAT Application form has to be submitted online. After the final submission of application form, the candidates will also receive a confirmation email stating the successful submission of CAT 2018 Application. The candidates are not required to submit any hard copy of CAT Application Form 2018 to the concerned Authority. The candidates are advised to take printouts of the completely filled CAT Application Form for future use.  The candidates must carefully enter all the important details in the application form and check it before the final submission. It is to be noted that no further changes can be made in the CAT Application Form after the last date.

CAT Application Form 2018 Correction

• The CAT application form can be edited by the candidates until the end of September 2018.
• There is no need to complete the CAT application in a single session. The candidates are allowed to log in multiple times to complete the CAT application and the information can be edited as well.
• The candidates are allowed to edit the fields in the CAT registration form such as Name, Date of Birth, Contact Details, Percentage of marks scored, Work Experience, Programmes selected, Detailed entered in the "Personal" section, and Exam centre city preference.
• However, the candidates are allowed to edit the details on the Application form only until the application fee is paid. They are not allowed to edit the registration form after they have made the online payment.
• After this, there will be a limited time window in which a candidate can modify only limited details such as Percentage of Marks scored, Work Experience, Programmes Selected etc. 

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

It is an important step to check the eligibility norms before CAT registration 2018. Failing to meet any of the CAT eligibility criteria 2018 will lead to cancellation of candidature. Check the list of CAT eligibility from the points given below -

• Education Qualification – The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University/College with at least 50% (45% for the candidates who belong to the reserved category like SC, ST, OBC, and PwD). The candidates who are appearing in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply for the CAT exam 2018.
• Age Limit – There is no age bar prescribed by the conducting authority to appear for CAT Exam. Not only for CAT Exam, there is also no age bar for IIM to get admission in any MBA program.
