BIT Mesra OBC Admission Eligibility Criteria

Nativity: Candidate must belong to BC-1 and BC-2 category of Jharkhand and must have passed their Class 12/I.Sc. from Jharkhand.

Age: Candidates whose DOB falls on or after 1 October 1993 are eligible. 

Academic Eligibility:

JEE Main: Candidate must have appeared in the JEE (Main) 2018 with the given ranks in Common Rank List (CRL) in BC-1 and BC-2 Categories:

Class 12: The candidate must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination. The combinations of Marks Required by Students for admissions in BE and BArch Courses are given in the table:

• For BE: Physics, Maths and Any one of (Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/ Technical vocational subject) are compulsory.
• For B.Arch: All total 5 given subjects in mathematics are compulsory.

BIT Mesra OBC Admission Registration process for admissions in BE and Barch Courses is Online Only. Candidates have to register themselves by following the link given above. after which, the candidates can log in again using their username and password. 

• Candidates who wish to apply for both the courses have to fill the separate application form for BE and B.Arch. 

BIT Mesra Application Fee: Rs. 2500 of each course.

Payment of Application Fee: nationalized candidates can pay the application fee through State Bank Collect - Net Banking or debit/credit nationalised bank in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” within the given time period. After the payment takes the printout of the final confirmation page that is to be produced at the time of counselling and admissions.

Submission of Application form: BIT Mesra Application form has to be submitted online only. The candidates need not send the printout of the application form to the institute. However, they must keep a copy of duly filled application form to furnish at the time of counselling. 

BIT Mesra OBC Admission Selection Procedure

The selection process for BIT Mesra OBC Admissions will be done on merit list based on Common Rank List -CRL Rank in JEE (Main) 2018 immediately after verification of documents.

BIT Mesra OBC counselling for admission to B.E and B.Arch courses will be done in the 3rd week of July 2018. The candidates are required to reach the counselling venue at sharp 9:00 am along with the required documents listed below:.

List of documents required at the time of Counselling:

• A print-out of the duly completed online form (original copy)
•  Payment receipt towards application fee of Rs.2,500/- (non-refundable)
•  Admit Card of JEE (Main) 2018
•  Score Card of JEE (Main) 2018
•  Pass certificate of Class 10 (for age proof)
• Marksheet of Class 10 7
• Marksheet of Class 12/ Intermediate or equivalent
• Pass Certificate of Class 12 / equivalent examination
• BC Certificate issued by a competent authority
•  Photo identification: (Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card and College ID are acceptable)
• Two passport size photograph, identical to the photograph uploaded in the application form
• Requisite Demand Draft of Rs.1,28,000/ - for admission to B.E. programme and Rs. 1,35,000/- for admission to B.Arch programme.
