NEET 2020 Result Supreme Court Orders
On 12 October, Monday Supreme Court has ordered NTA to release NEET Result on 16 October. It also said that all those students who were unable to attend NEET Exam due to COVID infection or because they reside in the containment zone will be allowed to appear in NEET 2020 on 14 October and accordingly the combined result of all the candidates will be released on 16 October.

To download NEET result, candidates can follow the steps provided below –
- Step 1 – Click on the link provided above
- Step 2 – Enter NEET Roll Number
- Step 3 – Provide Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Step 4 – Click on submit button

NEET 2019 Toppers
Check the list of toppers of NEET 2020 and their subject-wise marks. In the year 2019 Nalin Khandelwal has bagged AIR 1 by securing 99.99 percentile. NEET cut off for general category candidates is 701-134, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 133-107. A total of 15.19 lakh candidates had registered for NEET 2019-20 session, of which only 14,10,754 students appeared in the test.

What is NEET Cutoff 2020?
NEET cut off 2020 marks corresponding to the qualifying percentile has been announced. NEET 2020 cutoff is the minimum percentile that each candidate must obtain to qualify the exam. The NEET cut off corresponding to 50 percentile for General category is 701-134, while the marks range for 40 percentile is 133-107. How is NEET Result 2020 prepared?
Marks will be calculated on the following basis –
- +4 marks – Every correct answer
- 0 mark – Every unanswered question
- -1 marks – For each wrong answer
- -1 marks – For answers with more than one answer
NEET Result 2020 – Tie Breaking Method
In case, if two or more candidates obtain equal NEET score 2020, then the following methods will be used in the following order to break the tie –
- Candidate with highest marks in Biology i.e. Zoology and Botany will be given preference
- The student securing highest marks in Chemistry
- An aspirant with the less number of wrong attempts throughout all the subjects
- Older candidates will be given preference
NEET Merit List 2020
After the announcement of the result, NEET merit list will be prepared as per the ranks of candidates. There will be three types of merit list, which are –
- All India Merit List
- All India Quota Merit List
- State Merit List
NEET Counselling 2020 after Result
Based on candidate’s NEET result i.e. scores and rank, candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds. A total of two rounds of NEET counselling 2020 will be held along with an additional mop-up round. For the top 15% All India Quota rank holders, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting the counselling rounds. For the remaining 85%, the state designated authorities will be conducting the counselling rounds for admission to the state medical colleges. NEET counselling will be online and eligible candidates are required to register for the same and complete the registration procedure within the given time.

About NEET 2020
NTA will conduct NEET exam on 26 July in a pen-paper based mode for admission to around 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats of various medical and dental colleges. The test was held across 136 Indian cities and more than 13 lakh medical aspirants appeared. The NEET question booklet contained 180 Multiple Choice Questions from 4 different subjects, which were Physics, Zoology, Botany and Chemistry. Each answer carried 4 marks and for every wrong attempt, 1 mark was deducted.
