- CBSE has conducted Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for both paper 1 and paper 2 for admission to around B.Tech and B.Arch courses offered by 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, 22 CFTIs across the country.

How to calculate scores using JEE Main 2018 Answer Key?
Candidates can use the answer key for calculation of scores to be secured in the entrance examination. To examine the marks, aspirants have to check the number of correct and incorrect responses they have attempted in the exam. The formula to evaluate the scores secured in JEE Main is mentioned below.
Formula - (Total marks secured = Marks of correct responses – Marks of wrong responses)
As per the marking scheme of JEE Main
- 4 marks will be awarded for the correct response
- 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect attempt.
Challenging the JEE Main 2018 Answer Key
The official answer key of JEE Main can be challenged by any aspirant who disagrees with the answer mentioned in it. To challenge a solution from the JEE Main 2018 answer key, aspirants must submit their online objection form to the CBSE Board on or before on or before 27 April 2018 along with a proof of their challenge. The candidates requesting to challenge the answer key have to pay Rs.1,000 per question challenged and the payment should be made through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Paytm/ SBI Buddy. If the challenge is accepted by the Board and if the recorded response is not the same as marked by the candidate on Response (OMR) sheet, the correction will be done and the fee will be refunded.

Steps to challenge JEE Main 2018 Answer Key
- Step 1: Use the link - Aspirants must click on the link ‘Challenge JEE Main 2018 answer key.' (given above)
- Step 2: Login - Candidates must log in using their JEE Main application number, date of birth and security pin.
- Step 3: Filling the details - After logging in, candidate details will be mentioned on the top of the page. Students have to select book number, question number, answer and claimed the answer. Then, click on ‘add to claim list’.
- Step 4: Payment - The payment of Rs. 1000 will be paid by the aspirant in online mode to challenge an answer in JEE Main 2018 answer key. This non-refundable fee must be paid through Credit/Debit cards, PayTM and SBI buddy.
