COMEDK Counselling Process 2018

The counselling process involves Verification of Documents, Candidate's Registration, followed by Seat Selection and Allocation. It is to be noted that unless the candidate is registered, he/she cannot participate in the seat selection process. The seats will be allotted based on the rank secured by the candidate in the entrance exam.

• The copy of Online Application Form for participation in COMEDK counselling pursuant to NEET results.
• Class 10 Certificate or School Leaving Certificate or any School or Government record indicating the date of birth
• A copy of Online application form of Entrance test submitted to COMEDK
• Class 12 Mark Sheet. 
• Applicable Caste, OBC and Minority Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (for Karnataka Candidates only).
• Domicile Certificates of the candidate and parents(For Karnataka Candidates only).
• Eligibility Certificate for claiming seats reserved for Hyderabad Karnataka Region candidates issued by the Assistant Commissioner of the respective sub-division (applicable for Karnataka Candidates only).

COMEDK Counselling likely to be Online from 2018

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) brought a good news for the students who appeared in the COMEDK this year. From this year, the counselling procedure for the allotment of seats in private colleges is going online this year therefore, the candidates do not have to travel to the Bengaluru for the seat allotments.

According to the executive secretary of COMEDK, the students will have to pay Rs 5,000 before the option entry process and this would be considered as part of the fees for the first term. The complete information regarding the counselling would be released soon.

COMEDK UGET Result 2018

COMEDK Results 2018 was declared on 28 May 2018, for the exam that was conducted on 13 May 2017 across India in Computer-based mode. The candidates short-listed based on their performance in the COMEDK  have been called for the COMEDK Counselling 2018 for final admission. However, admissions to the Dental and Medical courses will be done on the basis of NEET 2018.

• All the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Colleges offers admission on the basis of both COMEDK, KCET and NEET.
• COMEDK Counselling 2018 will be conducted for admissions to Private-Quota Seats in over 160 engineering colleges only for the candidates who are shortlisted after clearing the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET).
• Admission to medical colleges will be based on NEET Score and the counselling for the MBBS and BDS seats will begin after the declaration of NEET Result. 

 COMEDK Hyderabad-Karnataka Quota Reservation

70% of the seats are reserved for the "Local Persons" i.e. the candidates from Hyderabad and Karnataka. 8% of the seats are reserved for “Local Persons” of the Hyderabad Karnataka Region in the Institutions located outside the said region. The Hyderabad Karnataka region comprises of

COMEDK Engineering and Architecture Counselling

 The Eligible candidates can Login and print their respective Rank Cards from the official website of COMEDK. On the day of counselling, the candidate has to carry a printout of his/ her Rank Card along with the other mandatory documents (list given above). 

COMEDK Counselling for Engineering: COMEDK Counselling for the candidates who have secured rank up to 3,000 will held on 16 July 2018. Students have 16,000 engineering seats in 121 engineering colleges across the State to choose from. The first round of COMEDK counselling will end on 26 July 2018. If students freeze a seat in the counselling and later surrender them, then they will have to pay a  processing fee of Rs. 5000. This time, the COMEDK Counselling is being held before KCET Counselling.

The member colleges of COMEDK are given in the respective links of both Medical and Engineering. There are about 187 engineering and 47 top Medical Colleges located in Karnataka participating for the COMEDK Centralised Counselling for their seats. 47 includes both Government and Private Medical Institutions. In addition to COMEDK one more Entrance Exam is also conducted by the Karnataka Government is known as KCET for admission to Government Institutions.

Meaning, the candidates who take admission in the Trust Medical Institutions on the basis of KCET are made to pay a reasonable amount as compared to those who take admission on the basis of the rank obtained in COMEDK. COMEDK MBBS/ BDS Counselling 2018

The Application process for COMEDK Counselling and uploading the NEET Scores will be started from August 2018. The candidates who have already registered themselves at COMEDK UGET 2018 need to register again by paying a counselling fee of Rs 600. The process of application will start from August 2018. In 2016, around 46,787 students have registered for COMEDK Medical Counselling for 1400 MBBS and BDS seats. The competition is going to be tough this year. In 2016, only 6000 students had applied for the same number of seats. (Counselling schedule is given below).

COMEDK Counselling will be done in two rounds. The status of counselling/ seat allotment will be notified on COMEDK Website, the candidates are advised to keep a frequent check of the same.
