IISER Aptitude Test for IISER Admission- IAT (SCB) Seat Allotment Round 4
IISER Aptitude Test 2018 result is declared. Candidates can get their IAT result by clicking on the link. Candidates who have appeared for the IISER aptitude test can now check their IISER Aptitude Test seat allotment for Round 4. Qualified candidates will be able to secure their admission in 5 years BS-MS Dual Degree. The IISER SCB Aptitude Test was conducted by IISER for admission to various centres across India for the students who have passed Class 12 or equivalent from science stream. IISER also admits the meritorious students who have achieved a rank in JEE Advanced or the students who are fellows.
There are 1300 seats across 7 IISERs and three channels for admission. Maximum 50% seats can be filled through KVPY and IIT JEE Advanced channel and rest are filled through SCB channel. If any seats remain vacant in the KVPY, IIT JEE Advanced channel then they are added to SCB channel.

IISER Aptitude Test 2018 Eligibility Criteria
All the candidates applying through State and Central Boards (SCB) are required to take and qualify the IISER Aptitude Test. The candidates can apply to BS-MS course through the SCB, KVPY and JEE Advanced. The candidates are advised to fill the IISER application form only after ensuring their eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria for SCB Channel
- Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Science in 2017 or 2018 are only eligible to apply.

Indian Nationals, the candidate belonging to Person of India Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) category are eligible to apply provided they satisfy other eligibility criteria.
- IISER Cut off eligibility criteria has to be met by the students before applying through SCB channel and the IISER Aptitude test cut off is given below on this page.
IISER Aptitude Test 2018 Application Form
- Candidates can apply online only at the official admission portal for admission to Five Year BS-MS Dual Degree program offered by esteemed IISER’s.
- Candidate can take admission through all the 3 channels provided that they meet the eligibility criteria but have to fill separate IISER Application form for each channel.
- All the seven IISERs admit students through a common application process. One application form is valid for all IISERs.
- Candidates through SCB Channel can apply from 24 May 2018.

IISER Aptitude Test 2018 - Application Fees
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee for each category. The application fee amount for each category is given in the table below. The candidates are advised to check the fee amount of their category and lay the application fee according to their category.

IISER Cut-offs for SCB Category
The IISER cut-off lists for the current year i.e. 2018 has not been released yet. Therefore, the candidates are suggested to go through the previous year cut-off marks so that they will get the idea of estimated cut-off scores for the year 2018.
IISER Aptitude Test Cut off (For Appearing in the Exam)
The cutoff list given in the table below shows the cutoff for SCB category for the last three years. The cutoff marks for the current year will be updated on this page soon. The cut-off percentages for various boards are given on this page.
The criteria to find the percentage of marks is % marks = ( Total marks scored in all subjects X 100 ) / Total Maximum marks.

IISER Cut off Marks Class 12

General category candidates should have secured marks above or equal to the cut-off percentage

OBC - NCL, PwD Category - 5% relaxation will be given to OBC (Non-Creamy layer), PD category.
- For SC/ST/KM category candidates the cut-off is 55% in Class 12 for all boards
IISER Aptitude Test 2018 Exam Pattern
The aptitude test will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology so the candidates who have studied both Mathematics & Biology along with Physics & Chemistry are at an advantage while appearing for the IISER Aptitude Test 2018.
- 50% seats are filled through KVPY and JEE Channel and remaining seats on the basis of SCB stream.
The candidates have to attempt the Questions from all the four subjects that are Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics & Biology.
- Medium of Question Paper: The question paper will be in the English and Hindi Language
- Type of Question Paper: The questions are multiple choice and objective type.
- Duration of exam: 180 minutes.
- IISER Marking Scheme: 3 marks are awarded for a correct response, no marks are awarded or deducted for the unanswered question and there is a negative marking of 1 for every wrong answer.
