• Bachelor of Fisheries Science was initiated in 1979, and the duration of the course is four years.
• B.FSc includes a compulsory rotating internship (1 semester) which is included in the 4-year course.

From 2018 onwards, the government of Kerala invites admission to Medical courses, Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary on the basis of NEET Scores and admission in Architecture course on the basis of NATA scores. Although, KEAM exam will be held admission in the engineering courses only. NEET application form can only be applied online by the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for Kerala Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc)

The candidates seeking admission to the Kerala Bachelors of Fisheries Science Course in Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies KUFOS must apply separately for the KEAM as well as NEET Exams, Apart from which the applicants must have given below minimum eligibility for the admission.

• Candidates need to secure minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 12 under a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and minimum 50% marks in Biology.
• Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE.

Selection Process for Kerala Bachelor of Fisheries Science

Admission into Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc.) will be done on the basis of the NEET merit score. The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations will prepare the Kerala state rank on the basis of NEET score, however, the applicants will be allotted seats in the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP-2018).

• The candidates will be invited for the admission in Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc.) in Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies on the basis of the rank list prepared.
