CLAT 2018 Application Form- Online Registration Started!

CLAT 2018 Application Form filling and registration has started from 1 January 2018. The candidates who have ensured their eligibility would be able to fill the application form through online mode. It is to be noticed that there is no offline application.  CLAT 2018 is for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes (LL.B. & LL.M.) offered by 18 National Law Universities. The last date to apply for CLAT 2018 is 31 March 2018. Hence, the candidates are suggested to fill the form on or before the due date. CLAT 2018 will be conducted only in the computer-based mode by The National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, Kerala.

CLAT 2018 Application Form - Apply Online

The candidates can apply for CLAT Only through ONLINE mode for the admission to Undergraduate and Post Graduate Law Programs. The application form for the registration has started from 1 January 2018. The link to fill the CLAT Application Form through online mode is available on this page. Candidates can fill the CLAT Application form 2018 Online through Internet from any place of convenience.

The candidates have to submit all the details as per the qualifications, reservation and other conditions laid down under the respective Statutes of the participating national law Universities. The candidates are also provided with the steps to fill the application form.

Steps to fill the CLAT 2018 Application Form

• STEP 1: Register online by following the link above and register using the valid Email ID and Phone Number on which the login credentials will be sent.
• STEP 2: After getting the login credentials on the Email as well as on Mobile, the applicants have to log in to fill the application form whose link is given at the top right corner of the screen after login in.
• STEP 3: Applicants have to enter their details now as required in the application form, applicants must enter their accurate information as there will no provision of the editing the information once the application is submitted.
• STEP 4: Upload photograph and signature. Scanned copies of documents listed below, if applicable.
• STEP 5: Payment of the Application Fees is to be made in online mode only after the successful completion of CLAT 2018 Application Form.
• STEP 6: Now applicants will have to print the confirmation page after the submission of the application fee and NO hard copy of the form is to be sent elsewhere.

Payment of CLAT 2018 Application Fee

• Once the application form is submitted, the candidate can proceed to make the application fee payment
• The application fee can be paid in online mode only; There will be no provision for the payment of the fee in online mode.
• The application fee will be Non-refundable/ Non-adjustable.
• Additional bank charges may apply for the above transactions.

Submission of CLAT Application Form

The candidates are suggested to submit the application form only after ensuring the details in the form is correct. Once submitted, no alteration or editing in the application form can be done. Candidates are not required to send a hard copy of the print out of their CLAT 2018 Application Form to any address.

However, it is strongly advised that the candidate keeps a hard copy of their CLAT 2018 Application Form for their record and future communication with the CLAT if required.

Documents to be uploaded CLAT 2018 Application Form

• High quality image {in .jpeg format, size (100KB)} of the candidate's photograph and Signature.
  • Photograph Specification : 3 cm x 4.5 cm.
  • Signature Speciification : 8 cm x 3.5 cm.

• The scanned photocopy (in PDF Format) of the Certificate of impairment for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and Scribe Declaration Form by the Scribe in the prescribed format are to be uploaded PDF format by a candidate depending on the applicability are: 

  • Certificate of impairment for Specially Abled Persons (SAP)
  • Scribe Declaration Form by the Scribe in the prescribed format.

CLAT Application Form - Important Specification for other Documents

OBC Certificate: The applicants will require the OBC certificate at the time of the online counselling. However, the applicants will have to specify their category at the time of the application filing. The applicants must acknowledge that in which category (Central level or state level) they are in.

SC/ST Certificate: All the candidates belonging to categories such as SC/ST/PWD etc. have to submit the valid document issued a by the competent authority at the time of the counselling.

PWD Certificate: All the PWD candidates with any category of disability (viz., blindness or low vision, hearing impairment, locomotor disability, and cerebral palsy). The benefit will be given to only those who have at least 40% permanent physical impairment on a body part/system/extremity/whole body, etc. To avail concession under the PWD category, the candidates should upload a recently obtained valid PWD certificate.A PWD candidate, if needed, can take the assistance of a Scribe during the CLAT 2018 examination.
