Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2019 is the entrance exam for admission in IIT architecture colleges. The students who qualify for JEE advanced are eligible to apply for the Architecture Aptitude Test. The JEE advanced brochure has and JEE Advanced AAT 2019 Exam date has now been announced. The exam will be conducted on 17 June 2019. AAT is an architecture entrance exam for admission into IITs into the five years undergraduate B.Arch Course in IITs.

Everything happens in a very short window for this exam. The registration for AAT starts on the same day JEE Advanced Result is announced. The application window is open or only 3-4 days. The critical information for the AAT is given below.
Architecture Aptitude Test 2019 Eligibility
Only those candidates who would have given B. Arch program (available at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee) as one of their choices while filling their choices online will be eligible to write AAT. Candidates must register online at the JEE (Advanced) portal for this Aptitude Test.

AAT 2019 Admit Card Details
- The test consists of one paper of three hours duration – from 09:00 to 12:00 hrs (IST). Question papers for the Aptitude Test will be in English only.
- The candidates should know that an admit card is an important document to be carried at the examination hall. Download Admit Card for JEE Advanced 2019.
- The Admit Card can be downloaded until the day of the exam. Candidates coming for the AAT are advised to bring their geometry box sets, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons for the Aptitude Test.
IIT Architecture Aptitude Test 2019 Result
The result for AAT(Architecture Aptitude Test) will be declared within 4 days of the exam. The candidates can check the result using their Registration Number of JEE Advanced and Date of Birth and are advised to check their Registration number before checking their result carefully. AAT Score Card will be available to download the scorecard online

IIT Architecture Aptitude Test 2019 Syllabus
Freehand drawing
This would comprise of simple drawing depicting the total object in its right form and proportion, surface texture, relative location and details of its parts in appropriate scale. Common domestic or day-to-day life usable objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory.
Geometrical drawing
Exercises in geometrical drawing containing lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles etc. Study of the plan (top view), elevation (front or side views) of simple solid objects like prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, splayed surface holders, etc.
Three-dimensional perception
Understanding and appreciation of three-dimensional forms with building elements, colour, volume and orientation. Visualisation through structuring objects in memory.
Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity
Composition exercises with given elements. Context mapping. Creativity checks through the innovative uncommon test with familiar objects. The sense of colour grouping or application.
Architectural awareness
General interest and awareness of famous architectural creations – both national and
international, places and personalities (architects, designers, etc. ) in the related domain.

About the JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test
Candidates desirous of joining the B. Arch. (Architecture) Courses will be required to pass in an Aptitude Test to be conducted only at the seven zonal IITs (nowhere else) on the given date. The seat allotment will be done based on the category wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2019.B.Arch Program is only offered at IIT Kharagpur & IIT Roorkee.
