About WBJEEB
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was formed in the year 1962 for the purpose of holding Common Entrance Examinations for admission to the Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the State of West Bengal. The Board will also conduct common entrance examination (JELET) for lateral entry into 2nd year (3rd semester) of the four-year courses of Bachelor Degree in Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy.

WBJEE JELET 2018 Eligibility criteria
Nationality: Indian Citizenship
Domicile: There is no particular residential or domicile required appearing in WBJEE JELET, however candidate who is taking advantage in the reserved category must have Domicile in West Bengal. And also at the time of admission, the domicile of Kolkata is an important document to submit.
Age: The age criteria vary according to the courses. For engineering and pharmacy candidates there is no age restriction except diploma holder in Marine Engineering which has an upper limit of 25 years. However, for BSc graduate candidate has an upper age restriction of 27 Years maximum.
Academic Criteria: The academic criteria to seek admission through lateral entry vary. Check candidate from different background need to satisfy the requirement.
- Diploma Holders in Engineering & Technology: The candidate must have passed with a minimum of 45% Marks (40% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, PwD) from an AICTE approved institute.
- BSc Graduates: The candidate must have passed with a minimum of 45% Marks (40% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, PwD) from a UGC approved university. Candidate have passes their 10+2 examination in mathematics subjects. BSc candidate cannot apply for Pharmacy courses.
- Diploma Holder in Pharmacy: The candidate must have passed with a minimum of 45% Marks (40% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, PwD) from an AICTE approved institute.

Steps to Fill the WBJEE JELET 2018 Application Form
- STEP 1 (Register): The candidates first have to register on the official website by following the link given on this page.
- STEP 2 (Upload Documents): The candidates have to upload the scanned image, signature and impression of left thumb after the registration.
- STEP 3 (Payment): Now after the registration and uploading of documents, the candidates have to make the payment of the application fee.
Submission of Application Form
WBJEE JELET 2018 Application form will be submitted online only. Candidate need not send any documents further to any institute or board. Once the candidate completes the online process, a confirmation form will be generated which candidate can download as it is an important document. The candidate is also advised to fill all the information correctly and adequately as once the form is submitted it is inevitable.

WBJEE JELET 2018 Result and Counselling
WBJEE JELET 2018 Result has been declared online on 23 July 2018. The result is available in the form of Rank Card. The Rank card is prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the examination.

- Mode of exam: Offline (Optical Machine Readable response sheet)
- Language of the exam: English only
- Duration of the Examination: 2 Hours
- In case of Pen and Paper test: Both Black/ Blue Pen.
- Negative marking: yes, each wrong question costs 25% detection out of 1 mark.
- Type and number of questions: Multiple choice questions and 100 Questions.

NOTE: The examination syllabus will be based on the lately passed examination by the candidate. If the candidate is from BSc background, the question will be asked in mathematics from BSc level.
The candidate is free to choose any two centres as preferences for the examination, usually, the first choice of the candidate will be accepted for the examination centre however it is not fixed and the last decision will be made after receiving all the application form.
