HBTU Kanpur BTech Admission 2018 (HBTI) - Harcourt Butler Technical University earlier known as (HBTI) has started its first round of online choice filling and choice locking from 26 June 2018 for the B.Tech course in the HBTU Kanpur. The admission in this course is offered to JEE Main qualified candidates who have a domicile in UP. However, until last year, the admission in the HBTU BTech course was offered based on UPSEE exam. Only UP domicile candidates can get admission in this B Tech program of HBTU. HBTU Kanpur will jointly conduct counselling for B.Tech programme with MMMUT, Gorakhpur which will be for the 10% of the total seats in MMMUT. HBTU BTech Counselling Dates 2018

• Candidates must have appeared in JEE Mains 2018 exam and should have a valid scorecard for appearing in the HBTU Kanpur Counselling.
• The subject combination required for the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent qualifying examination for admission to the first year of different courses shall be Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• For admission to first year of BTech the candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/ University without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject as given above and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.

The application process of HBTU Counselling is conducted through online mode for all the JEE (Main)-2018 qualified candidates of UP Domicile. Steps to fill the HBTU Counselling Application Form

STEP 1: Create a new password by clicking “Generate password for Login”.

STEP 2: After generating the password, candidates have to fill required details such as JEE Main-2018 Roll No., Application No., Candidate's Name, Date of Birth and security password as shown on the screen and click “Submit”. 

STEP 3: Candidates have to submit their Contact Details such as Contact No., Address, etc. and click on the submit button.

STEP 4: The option of “Choose your password” will be displayed in the next tab and candidates have to fill the required details and click on the “Final Submit” button for registration.

STEP 5: Registration Form will be displayed on the next screen with mentions details submitted earlier in printable form. This screen also has a caption of “Candidates credentials as Application Form”. Candidates have to fill the following information on this page: 

• Qualifying Examination details from the drop-down menu either as “Uttar Pradesh” or “Other than Uttar Pradesh”.
• The candidate has to give his Domicile status as “Uttar Pradesh”.
• The candidate has to give his gender as “Male” or “Female”
• The candidate has to give his category as General, OBC, SC or ST.
• The candidate has to give the subcategory details as follows.- The candidate has to give his “AF” or “FF” or PH status as “Yes” or “No”- Candidate has to give his Fee Waiver Option ‘Y/N’

Submission of Application Form

The application form of HBTU B Tech Counselling 2018 will be submitted through online mode only. Candidates can pay the application fee through SB Collect scheme of State Bank of India. The status of the payment of the candidates will be updated once the payment is successful.

HBTU BTech Counselling Fee

The selection of candidates in B.Tech program of HBTU Kanpur (HBTI) will be based on the JEE Mains score. The allotment of seats through counselling will be carried out strictly in accordance with the JEE Mains 2018 merit of the candidate, subject to the order of preference given for the seats and availability of seat in the category.

HBTU Kanpur BTech Seat Distribution

As per AICTE notification fee waiver seats for economically weaker meritorious candidates are also available in B.Tech programme at the University. No tuition fee will be charged from the candidates admitted to such seats. The fee waiver seats will be limited to the maximum of 5% of the approved intake in the course and will be over and above of the sanctioned intake. The economically weaker students must submit the requisite certificate given on the admission website at the time of verification of documents.
