• BCA (Bachelors of Computer Application) - 3 Year Programme (6 Semesters)

The programs aim to develop professional and leadership qualities with values of entrepreneurship, ethics and social responsibility amongst students study there. The duration of the programs is 3 years which spread in 6 semesters.

Eligibility Criteria for BBA Programme

•  Age Criteria: The maximum age limit for the course is 22 Years as, on 1st July 2018, The age relaxation of 3 Years is granted to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe and Schedule Caste.
• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed their class 12 Examination or equivalent with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST).

Eligibility Criteria for BCA Programme

•  Age Criteria: The maximum age limit for the course is 21 Years for the males and 23 Years for Female of General Category and 24 Years for both Male and Females of SC/ST Category as, on 1 July 2018, The age relaxation of 3 Years is granted to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe and Schedule Caste.
• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed their class 12 Examination or equivalent with minimum 40% marks (35% in case of SC/ST).

The online application process has started from 10 April 2018 and the candidates can fill the online application form for BBA and BCA courses separately both for subsidised and non-subsidized seats. • STEP 1: The candidates have to visit the official website by clicking the link provided on this page. Now the candidate has to choose their desired program for which he/she wants to apply.
• STEP 2: The candidates have to now fill the application form by providing their basic personal details such as name, father’s name, gender, address, contact details, educational details etc.
• STEP 3: The candidates have to now upload the scanned copy of their latest passport size photograph in the space given there.
• STEP 4: After filling the application form, the candidates have to make payment of the application fee through online payment modes like the credit card, debit card or internet banking etc.

Application Submission

The eligible candidates can submit the application form through online mode only. The online application is available on the official website of the University College of Business Studies and also on the official website of Himachal Pradesh University. The printout of the completed application form has not to be sent via post.

HP University BBA/BCA Course Fee 2018

The candidates selected for admission into BBA/BCA program they have applied will have to pay the annual course fee as per the details mentioned below. The fee is to be paid semester wise i.e. in 2 installments in a year.

Candidates registered for the admission to HP University BBA BCA programme will have to undergo further selection procedures. There will be no written test, group discussion and personal interview for the candidates who have applied for admission under a non-subsidized category. However, the candidates seeking BBA Admission have to undergo Written Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

Selection process for HP University BBA Programme

The candidates will be selected for admission into BBA program on the basis of overall merit of written test, group discussion, and personal interview. The candidates scored good marks on the written test will be called for group discussion and personal interview. Candidates can check the schedule below for the selection procedures.

The admission to 40 subsidised seats is based on competitive examination which comprises application ratings, written test (comprising of four parts e.g. General English, General Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Management), Group discussion and interview. The weightage assigned in computing merit is as follows:

1. Application Ratings: (15 Marks each for Matric and 10+2 examination levels on the basis of percentage scored in the examination. While computing merit a candidate having Commerce or Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 Level will be given additional weightage of 10% of the percentage of aggregate marks obtained by him/her in 10+2 examination).
2. Written Test: 50 Marks
3. Group Discussion: 10 Marks
4. Interview: 10 Marks

Selection process for HP University BCA Programme

The candidates who have applied for admission into BCA program will be offed subsidised seats only on the basis of performance of the candidates in the written test only. There will be no GD and PI to be conducted for the admission to HP University BCA programme. Check the schedule for the selection.

The final admission to BCA is based on a competitive examination alone for 30 subsidised seats. The competitive test shall comprise of three parts e.g. Mathematics (40%), Logical Ability (40%) and General Awareness (20%). Separate Merit List shall be prepared for subsidised category and Non-Subsidized category.
