About IIMC Entrance Exam
IIMC Entrance Exam - PG Diploma in Journalism admission process has started from 20 March 2018. The candidates who want to become a skilled and professionally trained journalist have a chance to pursue journalism from IIMC (Indian Institute of Mass Communication) which is one of the premier institutes of mass communication in India. IIMC offers 1 year PG Diploma in Journalism (Hindi, English and Urdu). The candidates can fill the application form until 10 May 2018. Educational qualification:
- The candidates who want to get admission into PG Diploma in Hindi/English Journalism at IIMC must have graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised college in India.
- The candidates who are appearing in the final year of their graduation examination are also eligible to apply. However, such candidate will have to submit their final year mark sheet/provisional certificate by 31 August 2018.
IIMC Entrance Exam Application form and Admit Card
The candidates who want to get admission in PG Diploma in Hindi/ English Journalism at IIMC will be required to fill the application form. The application process for IIMC Admission has started from 20 March 2018. The candidates can fill the application form on or before the due date i.e. 10 May 2018. Steps to Fill the IIMC Application Fee
The candidates sometimes while filling the form end up making mistakes to certain sections. To ignore such activity, the steps with brief instructions are provided on this page below. The candidates are suggested to follow the below steps while filling the application form for PG Diploma in Hindi/ English Journalism Admission.
STEP 1: Register Online
- To fill the application form of the IIMC Entrance Exam, the candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication by following the link given above.
- The candidates have to fill the further application form by filling the required details in every section of the form.
STEP 2: Fill the Application Form
- First, the candidates have to buy or download the application form and thereafter the candidates have to fill the application form. The candidates have to provide their personal details such as name (As per Metric Certificate), date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, nationality etc.
- Now the candidates have to provide their educational details like class 10, 12 & graduation marks detail and contact details such as address, email id, phone number etc.
STEP 3: Affix Photo & Sign
- Now the candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their latest colour photograph and scanned copy of their signature. The candidates, who are filling the offline application form, also have to paste their recent passport size colour photograph.
- Scanned copy of the photograph and signature must be sized within 10-20 kb and should be in jpeg or jpg format. After filling the application form the candidates are advised to review the filled application form.
STEP 4: Make payment
- The candidates will also have the option to make payment through DD which should be payable to Registrar IIMC, New Delhi. The candidates want to make payment using electronic mode can pay by credit card, debit card or internet banking.
- The candidates need to know that the application fee should be paid only once and the payment can only be made by any one of the payment mode mentioned above.
Submission of the Application Form
Candidates are advised to be cautious while filling the form and check the details of the application form before making the final submission as the candidates need to know that once the application gets submitted, the candidates will not be able to change the details of the application form. After the successful submission of the application form, the candidates are also advised to keep at least two printouts of the application form with them for future reference.

The IIMC Admit Card for the entrance exam will be available before the exam. However, the exact date is not notified yet. Once the admit card gets released, the candidates will be able to download the admit card by following the link below. The admit card will not be dispatched through the post to the candidates, so no correspondence in this regard will be considered. The candidates must know that an admit card is an important document to be carried at the examination centre.

IIMC Entrance Exam Fees
The candidates can make payment of the IIMC application fee as under. Application Fee is different for all the categories. The candidates belonging to the respective categories must pay their Application.
The fee has to be paid through online mode only that is credit card/debit card/net banking. The application fee is to be paid only once and the candidates need to make the payment of the application fee according to their category.

IIMC Entrance Exam Result and Counselling
The candidates will be selected for admission into PG Diploma in Hindi/English Journalism at IIMC on the basis of a pen-paper entrance examination which is conducted by IIMC every year. The result is expected to be declared in the June 2nd/ 3rd week 2018. After that, the interview will be held.

However, the candidates have to manage to reach these centres on their own expenses. The candidates who qualify in the entrance examination will be called for a personal interview and group discussion. Personal interview and group discussion will be held at the IIMC Campus.
- Weightage: The proportionate weight age between the written entrance examination and the personal interview/ group discussion is 85:15
