NMIMS B.Des Admission 2018 - On the basis of NPAT

NMIMS B.Des Admission 2018 online registration process has been started from 10 January 2018. NMIMS B.Des Admission will be based on an Online Test, Group Discussion, Pen and Paper Design Test, Personal Interview, Portfolio Review. The candidates who wish to take admission in NMIMS Narsee Momnjee Institute of Management Studies or School of design can apply on or before 28 April 2018. The candidates can register themselves for NMIMS B.Des Admission only through ONLINE mode. NMIMS B.Des Seats

The B. Design is offered in NMIMS Mumbai Campus. Total intake in B. Design program at the School of Design Mumbai campus is 25 seats.

NMIMS B.Des Admission 2018 Dates

Age: The candidates must be aged below 25 years old.

Academic Eligibility: The candidates wish to apply for appearing in NMIMS B.Des Admission 2018 online entrance test, must be passed class 12 or equivalent examination (including International Baccalaureate Diploma) in any stream from a government authorised board in their first attempt with minimum 60% aggregate marks. The candidates should have passed in all subjects they have opted in class 12.

• The candidates who have passed class 12 examinations, in which they have given Grade Point Average (GPA), such candidates have to produce in writing their equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained by him/her from their concerned board.
• The candidates who are waiting for their class 12 result or mark sheet are also eligible to apply for NMIMS B.Des Admission 2018.

The candidates who want to appear in online entrance test for NMIMS B.Des Admission 2018 have to fill an online application form. The candidates can submit the online application form on the official website at www.nmims.edu / www.npat.in or can follow the link given below. To fill the online application form, the candidates should follow the simple steps given below:

NMIMS NPAT 2018 Application Form

STEP 1: Filling the Application Form

First, the candidates have to fill the application form. The candidates have to enter their personal details such as name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, gender etc. now the candidates have to provide their marks detail in class 10 and 12. Thereafter the candidates have to choose the examination centres and the course he/she wants to get admission in. Now the candidates have to provide their contact details such as address, contact number etc.

STEP 2: Uploading Photograph

Now the candidates have to upload their recent passport size colour photograph which must fulfil the following criteria:

• The photograph should be in jpeg format in the maximum size of 500 kb and the dimension should be 200 pixels tall and 150 pixels wide.
• The background of the photograph should have either white or lightly coloured.
• Eye of the candidate in the photograph should be open and clearly visible.
• The photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
• Photos wearing cap or goggles will not be accepted.

STEP 3: Making Payment

The candidates have to make payment of the registration fee through online payment modes like credit card, debit card or internet banking. After successful payment of the application registration fee, the candidates have to click submit button thereafter system will automatically generate a completed registration form which will have a registration number. Now the candidates can log in by using the application number and password they have created during filling the application form.

Submission of Application Form

The candidates seeking admission in their desired program in any of the schools under NPAT; have to register themselves to appear in the NMIMS online entrance test. The candidates can submit the registration form only through online mode on the official website of NPAT at www.nmims.edu / www.npat.in. The candidates can edit the online application form till 21 April 2018 only in addition to school/program, date of examination and change of test city and the changes will be applicable to both days’ test.

NMIMS B.Des Admit Card 2018

The candidates who have successfully registered themselves on the official website will be called for an online entrance examination which is scheduled to be held on 12 & 13 May 2018. On the basis of the information indicated on the registration form, the candidates will be issued an admit card to enter the examination hall.

NPAT Admit Card 2018

The candidates can download their admit card on the official website from 7 May 2018. The candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card. The candidates also have to carry any of the following original ID proof along with the photocopy of the same:

• Passport
• 12^th Admit Card
• Aadhar Card
• PAN Card
• School/College ID
• Voters ID
• Driving License

The candidates have to pay the registration fee as under:

NMIMS B.Des Fee

The 1st-year fee of B.Des program in 2017 was 3,61,000 Rs. For the year 2018, it will be declared at the time of Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Pen and Paper Design Test and Portfolio Review of selected candidates.

Refund of Fees Rules

The candidates will be selected for admission into their desired program on the basis of an Online Test - NPAT 2018, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. First, the candidates have to appear in the Online Test which will be held on 12 & 13 May 2018. The candidates qualified in the online test will be called for further selection process. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the following:

• Online Test
• Group Discussion
• Pen and Paper Design Test
• Personal Interview
• Portfolio Review

In case candidates attend the online entrance test on both days, the highest maximum score obtained by the candidate will be considered for merit list.

NMIMS B.Des Admission Schedule 2018

The candidates appearing in the online entrance test have to follow the exam pattern given below. Paper 1 questions type and difficulty level will be based on SAT 2018 pattern.

• Total number of paper - 2 paper will be taken for B.Des
• Total number of section - 3 in each part
• Duration of the exam - 100 minute for part 1 and 90 minutes for part 2

 There will be common entrance test NPAT for the admission to the NMIMS various courses, Applicants have to pay application fee accordingly for admission to more than one courses.
