About Jammu and Kashmir MBBS / BDS
Jammu and Kashmir MBBS and BDS Admission 2018 is conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE). The provisional list of candidates who have been allotted seats for J&K MBBS and BDS admission 2018 has been released on 6 July, which is available below. The tie-breaking method in J&K MBBS merit list has been used to resolve the ties. The selected aspirants are required to report at the allotted colleges for completion of Jammu and Kashmir MBBS admission procedure. Along with that, students also need to carry the specified documents for document verification. A total of 655 candidates have been selected for JK MBBS and BDS admission 2018. Besides this, JKBOPEE has released a notification stating that such candidates who have not possessed their class 12 marks sheet and electronic mark cards have been granted admission. To be eligible for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS and BDS admission 2018, these candidates have to get their documents verified. J&K MBBS and BDS admission is the basis for admission to 500 MBBS and 200 BDS courses offered by medical and dental colleges of the state. NEET 2018 has been conducted on 6 May for admission to around 90,000 MBBS and BDS courses offered by the government as well as private colleges of India. Form all government colleges, 15% seats are reserved for All India Quota (AIQ) candidates, which will be filled by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The registration for NEET counselling has started from 13 June. While, for remaining 85% state quota seats, the designated state counselling authorities will organise the counselling sessions for admission to MBBS and BDS colleges in the state.
Candidates who have appeared and qualified in NEET are eligible to participate for JK MBBS admission 2018. For admission to Jammu & Kashmir MBBS/BDS admission, aspirants need to secure the minimum qualifying percentile. As per NEET cut off, General category aspirants have to obtain at least 50 percentile, while that for SC/ST/OBC candidates, it is 40 percentile.

Jammu and Kashmir MBBS / BDS Eligibility criteria
Age Limit:
- The candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31, 2018, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and Diploma in Dental hygiene courses
- He/she should be born between 7 May 1993 to 1 January 2002, if he/she belongs to OM category. While candidates belonging to SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC categories must be born between 7 May 1988 to 1 January 2002
Academic Qualifications:
- All candidates are required to pass individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Candidates of the general category must secure minimum 50% marks taken together in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
- Minimum 40% marks have to be secured by the reserved category candidates as an aggregate of Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their main subjects for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, Physiotherapy and Diploma in Dental Hygiene
Qualifying marks:
As mentioned earlier, aspirants must have obtained at least minimum qualifying percentile in NEET 2018. General category aspirants must secure 50 percentile and the corresponding marks was 691-119. While the minimum percentile for SC/ST/OBC was 40 and the marks corresponding was 118-96.
Domicile Requirements
- Candidates must be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir as defined in Section 6 of the Constitution of J&K.
- Candidate must be living in Jammu and Kashmir (such students will have to fill 'self declaration' at the time of NEET Application.
- The candidates must have passed higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a state recognised board/university.

Steps to fill J&K MBBS Application Form 2018
- Click on the link provided above
- It must be noted that the Pop-Up blocker should be disabled to access the application form
- In the other window, read the instructions carefully and click on 'Apply' button to proceed for Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission 2018
- In the registration page, enter the required details such as NEET application number, NEET score, All India Rank, date of birth, Gender
- Thereafter, fill the qualification details like date of completion of class 12, maximum and minimum marks obtained and subject-wise marks secured
- Then, enter the contact details and enter the category along with the verification code
- Click on 'submit' for completion of JK MBBS 2018 application form
- After registration, candidates will be allotted a password for logging into the J&K MBBS registration portal
- Thereafter, aspirants are advised to upload the relevant documents like PRC, DOB as per matriculation certificate, 10+2 mark cards, reserved category certificate including P&B and any other certificate required
- No registration fee is to be paid at this stage
The candidates of Jammu and Kashmir State should click on "No", because "Yes", will make them ineligible for the consideration for admission in the State Medical Colleges.
Who requires to fill the “Self Declaration” in NEET Application form: The candidates who are not J&K Domicile but are living in Jammu and Kashmir residing there because of the posting of their parents or any other reason will have to fill the "self Declaration". Such candidates are not eligible for the seats of J&K.
Who doesn't need to fill the “Self Declaration” in NEET Application form: The candidates who are J&K Domicile are eligible for 100% seats in colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. Such candidates are not required to fill the “Self Declaration” while filling the NEET Application Form 2018.

Jammu and Kashmir MBBS / BDS Fees
The candidates desirous of filling up of preference form for allotment of seats/ colleges shall have to make an online payment of the fee of Rs.1,500 while submitting online preference forms.
However, the candidates should know that the banking transaction charges will be borne by the candidates itself. The fee amount once deposited will not be refunded.

Jammu and Kashmir MBBS / BDS Result and Counselling
Consequent upon declaration of the NEET, UG result 2018 by the CBSE on 4 June and with a view to notifying the State Merit List, it is hereby notified that the candidates with the score as indicated below shall deposit their documents in the Board office Srinagar/ Jammu as per the schedule indicated against each. The NEET UG process for admission in MBBS BDS program is mentioned below:

Jammu and Kashmir MBBS/ BDS NEET Rank Lists
Category status of the candidates has been given on the basis of state reservation policy. The candidates falling in the merit between 313 and 131 and whose documents were not verified have also been included in the released provisional merit list. Refund of Counselling Fee
There would be a refund of Rs. 500 that the candidates can claim if they withdraw from the counselling. No refund of the fee would be entertained if the candidate is unable to attend the counselling due to any reason. Withdrawal of counselling is allowed from first round only. Jammu and Kashmir MBBS / BDS Exam pattern
The admission is done on the basis of NEET score. Therefore, the NEET Exam Pattern is given for the candidates. NEET 2018 will be conducted in 10 languages. The candidates have to specify the language of the question paper while filling the application form.
- Duration of Exam: 3 hours
- Mode of Exam: Pen and Paper mode
- Total no. of Questions: 180
- Negative Marking: For every incorrect response one mark will be deducted from the total score.
- The Medium of Exam: From this year NEET question paper will be conducted in 10 languages viz are; Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Oriya, Kannada and Telugu.
Multiple Choice Questions from the three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Four marks will be awarded for every correct response.
The questions would be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at centre only.

CBSE has issued a notification on 13 February 2017 clearing the air on 'Self Declaration' to be filled in NEET application form. As per the notification, in no case, the candidature for 100% seats of their State is going to be affected for the students even if they have filled notification by mistake. The candidates who have wrongly submitted undertaking will have to register for the Counselling in their State as and when registration is started by the State Counselling Authority/Admitting Authority.
