Army College of Nursing B.Sc Admission 2018 Eligibility criteria
Age: The candidate should be 17 years and not more than 25 years old on 31 Dec 2017.
Academic Qualification: The candidates applying for the Army College of Nursing to pursue the B.Sc Nursing course must need to fulfil the eligibility criteria which are mentioned below.
- The candidates must have passed the class 12 or the Indian school certificate examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other optional subjects with English
- The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or another recognised body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall hold a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
- The candidates must have cleared the first year of the three years degree course of a recognised university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in three subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination”.
- The candidate who has passed B.Sc examination of an Indian University with minimum two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology).
- The candidates must have passed any other examination which is determined to be equivalent to the Intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board which comprises the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.
Army College of Nursing - General Eligibility
- The female candidate applying for the admission to Army College of Nursing must have cleared Class 12 examinations in one sitting as regular candidates from recognised institutions.
- The candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained the minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognised board or university.
- The candidates who are appearing in the class 12 examination or equivalent examination are also eligible to appear in the entrance examination.
- The candidates who are appearing in class 12 will be considered only if they provide the documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and the percentage of the marks at the time of counselling of admission.
Army College of Nursing - Physical Fitness
The candidates who are applying for the Army College of Nursing to pursue the B.Sc course must be mentally and physically fit. For that, the candidates need to enclose required documents at the time of counselling.

Documents to be submitted with ACN Application Form
Following documents will be enclosed with the application form and the candidates are advised to check the same before sending their form to ACDS:-
- Admit Card and Attendance Card.
- Proof of age as per class 10 / 12 or Equivalent Examination Mark-sheet /TC.
- Statement of Marks of qualifying examination with aggregate marks.
- Statement of Marks of higher degrees/examinations.
- Appropriate certificates in respect of various categories to avail priority of admission which is as under:-
- Certificate No 1: For dependents of serving army personnel having ten years continuous service in the Army, retired/ released/ discharged after ten years of service/killed in action/died during service/disabled in action/medically boarded out with the pension.
- Certificate No 2: Stepchildren of Army Personnel who were born from wedlock where at least one parent belonged to the Army/adopted children of Army personnel who have been adopted at least five years before the commencement of course.
- Certificate No 3: Children of Army Medical Corps /AD Corps Officers serving in Air Force /Navy Medical establishment/MNS/APS and TA personnel.
- Certificate No 5: Willingness Certificate.
- Certificate No 6: Regular study certificate by the concerned institution.

Army College of Nursing Selection Criteria
- The admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of Combined Written Admission Test (CWAT).
- The merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.
- The decision of management regarding the preparation of merit list will be final, and no negotiation in this matter will be accepted
Army College of Nursing Tie Breaking
In the case of candidates securing an equal number of marks, their relative merit will be reassessed, inter-se on the basis of the following order of preference: -
- A candidate securing more aggregate marks (PCBE Subjects) in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or its equivalent.
- A candidate securing more marks in Biology in CWAT. (c) Seniority in date of birth.
Army College of Nursing Tie Counselling
The candidates who will qualify for the entrance test which will be held on 3 June 2018 will be selected for getting admission in Bsc Nursing program through a counselling process. The counselling process will be conducted by the Army College of Nursing itself from the second week of July 2018.

ACN CWAT Syllabus 2018
The entrance examination for BSc admission in Army College of Nursing will be based on syllabus that will be that of 11th and 12th class under the 10+2 scheme/pre-medical/intermediate science or an equivalent examination of the State Education Board/Indian University.
