BIT Mesra MBA Admission 2018, Application process has been started for the admission to 2018-20 batch of MBA. The last date to apply online is 23 March 2018. Candidates need to submit their application form before the due date. The candidates who have secured minimum 50% or equivalent CGPA in their graduation and also appearing/appeared in CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT exam are eligible to apply for BIT Mesra MBA. MBA Admission at BIT Branches will be done on the basis of candidate’s CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT score and PI & GD.

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for any course. Here we are giving the Eligibility criteria in detail for BIT Mesra MBA Admission 2018.

Qualifying Examination:

The candidates must have appeared in any of the following competitive examinations with requisite minimum scores/percentile as given below:

Educational Qualification

The Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from any government authorised College, Institute or University. This duration of bachelor's course must be a minimum of three years. After completing higher secondary schooling i.e. Class 12 or equivalent (10+2+3 system).

• The candidates must have secured minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks or equivalent CGPA in their graduation.

• Final Year Students: The candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s degree programme can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the programme provisionally. At the time of reporting for the ‘GD & PI’ such applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

a) by 30th June 2018, he/she will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.

b) He/she has obtained requisite marks or equivalent, based on latest available grades/marks.

• These candidates must submit the proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31 October 2018. Non-fulfilment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Distance Education Students

Candidates who have completed their education through the correspondence or distance learning programmes are eligible only if the DEC-IGNOU recognises the programmes and the applicants must have they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated. They must enclose photocopies of pass certificate and mark sheets of qualifying examination with their application. 

• Final year Students: The students enrolled in the final year of their course or appearing candidate in distance learning programmes, whose results are yet to be declared, are not eligible to apply.

BIT Mesra MBA Application Form

STEP 1- Registration: First, the candidates have to register themselves for applying online. The candidates have to enter the following details to complete the registration process.

STEP 2- Filling the Application Form: After registration, the candidates have to log in to the online application form. The candidates will have to provide the authentic details for completing the application form.

STEP 3- Uploading Photograph: After entering all the details the candidates have to upload their recent colour passport size photograph (the size of photograph should not be exceeded by 5kb)

STEP 4- Payment of the Application Fee: After generation of ‘Application Number,’ the candidates have to click on the link State Bank Collect for payment towards application fee as mention in the admission notification. A new page will appear on the screen and read the instructions carefully.

Submission of BIT Mesra MBA Application Form 2018

The candidates can apply for BIT Mesra MBA Application only through online mode. So, there is no need for submission of the application form as well as any of the documents. But the candidates are advised to take the printout of the application form and keep it safe as it will be required at the time of reporting for GD & PI.

Fee Structure for MBA program at BIT Mesra is given below in the table which is to be paid semester wise after the successful admission of the candidates:

Additional amount to be paid at the time of Admission:

• Admission Fee (One time only) = Rs. 15,000.00 and
• Caution Money (One time only-Refundable) = Total Rs. 25,000.00

First, the candidates will be shortlisted for GD and PI on the basis of their CAT or MAT or XAT or GMAT score secured in the examination. The candidates will be called for GD and Personal Interview at the centre selected by the candidate. The Birla Institute of Technology will release the provisional list of selected candidates to pursue MBA course. 

BIT Mesra MBA Selection Related Dates

The merit list of the candidates will be uploaded on the official website of the BIT Mesra and the notice board at the BIT Mesra Campus. No call letters will be sent to any of the candidates for GD and PI and the merit list will also be uploaded on this page whenever available, the candidates will have to bring the original certificates listed below.

Documents Required at the time of GD/PI for BIT MESRA MBA Admission

Applicants who are eligible for the GD and PI must carry the originals of the following documents at the time of reporting for group discussion & personal interview, as well as one set of photocopies of the same:

• A print-out of the duly completed online form (original copy)
• One recent colour photograph
• Payment receipt towards application fee
• Pass certificate of Class 10
• Marksheet of Class 10
• Marksheet of Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent
• Mark sheet of Graduation for graduates
• Marksheets up to the pre-final year for candidates graduating in 2018. They must also bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

1. By 30th June 2018, he/she will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.
2. He/she has obtained requisite marks or equivalent, based on latest available grades/marks.

• Candidates who have applied for distance learning programmes (DEC-IGNOU) must carry a proof of pass certificate in addition to marksheets of graduation.
• Printout of Admit Card / Hall Ticket of CAT 2017 / XAT 2018/ CMAT 2018 / MAT Sept -2017 or MAT Dec-2017 or MAT Feb-2018
• Print out of Score Card of CAT 2017 / XAT 2018 / CMAT 2018 / MAT Sept -2017 or MAT Dec-2017 or MAT Feb-2018
• Caste certificate and its copy attested by the authority not lower than SDO
• Special Category Certificate
• ID Proof example Driving Licence, PAN Card, Voter ID, AAdhaar Card
