Bihar Medical (MBBS/BDS) Counselling 2018

Bihar MBBS / BDS Counselling 2018 is done on the basis of NEET scores. BCECEB has released the Bihar MBBS merit list 2018. Only candidates who have successfully registered themselves for Bihar MBBS counselling are eligible to be included in the merit list. Along with the Bihar MBBS state merit rank, the Board has also released the cut off rank of Bihar MBBS for the first round of counselling. UGMAC 2018 merit list is published for government/private/Muslim/Sikh minority medical and dental colleges. Based on the state merit rank, Bihar NEET counselling has begun from 29 June at IAS Bhawan, Near Patna Airport, Patna – 800014. The schedule and rank-wise list of candidate have been released for the first round of Bihar MBBS counselling 2018. A link to download UGMAC counselling is provided below. Aspirants must report for Bihar MBBS/BDS 2018 counselling process as per their merit position. Bihar MBBS/ BDS counselling is the basis for admission to around 850 MBBS and 100 BDS seats in the medical and dental colleges of the state. • There are a total 850 MBBS and 100 BDS seats in Bihar, out of which 697 MBBS and 85 BDS seats are under State Quota for which admission will be done by UGMAC.
• The candidates of Bihar who will qualify NEET 2018 need to fill the online application form for appearing in UGMAC (Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling).

Bihar Medical (MBBS / BDS) UGMAC Counselling Dates

Candidates can check the dates of Bihar MBBS/BDS counselling from the table below.

Age Limit: The lower age limit for the entry in MBBS/ BDS course should be at least 17 years of age by 31 December 2018. The candidate must not be born after 31 December 2000.

Academic Qualification: 

• The candidates must have passed class 10+2/ ISC/ Pre-medical exam and must have an aggregate 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). In the case of SC/ ST/ OBC, the percentage the total aggregate percentage is 40%.
• The candidates must not have scored less than 50 Percentile in the Rank/Merit List of NEET 2018 physics, Chemistry, and Biology. In the case of SC/ ST/ OBC, the NEET Score should not be less than 40 Percentile.

Other required Eligibility for Bihar Medical UGMAC MBBS/BDS Counselling

• Medical Examination: The candidates selected for the Counselling Round need to go through a Medical Examination. The candidates who have been fit after the medical check-up will be allocated seats. There will be a different fee for this medical examination.
• Residential Eligibility: The candidates can take admission through UGMAC counselling ( on basis of NEET 2018 scores) if he/she is a citizen of India and any of the following criteria:

A) The candidates whose parents are the permanent resident of Bihar

Or

B) The candidates whose parents are the registered refugees of Bihar

Or

C) The candidates whose parents reside in different states but are the employees of the Government of Bihar

Or

D) The candidates who parents are the employees of Government of India posted at Bihar or PSU employees.

As per the notification of UGC, the NEET scores is mandatory for admission to MBBS/ BDS course in any government and private medical colleges in India. Therefore, to apply for the admission into MBBS/ BDS course, the candidates need to submit their NEET score.

Bihar Medical UGMAC Counselling 2018 Application Process

• STEP 1: Registration: The candidates need to register themselves by providing their email id and a password which should not be disclosed to anyone. The candidates must also enter their mobile number and an SMS/Email will be sent to the registered mobile number/email id which will contain the UGMAC-ID that should not be disclosed.
• STEP 2: Counselling Fee: The candidates who have successfully registered themselves need to sign in by entering their UGMAC ID and Password. After login, the candidates need to make the payment of Counselling fee by the modes mentioned below towards the end of this page.
• STEP 3: Personal Information: After the successful payment of the counselling registration fees, the candidates need to enter their personal information and upload the scanned copy of their passport size photograph and full signature in Hindi and English and not in capital letters. The candidates need to click on the submit button after filling all their personal information carefully.
• STEP 4: Educational Information: The candidates need to fill their mandatory education information as given on the online application form. After completing the candidates can click on the submit button to proceed further.
  • Preview: The candidates can preview their information before clicking the final submit button before every step. The candidates will have the provision to correct their information before clicking submit. But no information will be corrected once the candidates click on the submit button.
  • Print-out: After filling all the information in all the steps of the Online application form, the candidates can take a print-out of the online application form.

Payment of Bihar Medical UGMAC MBBS/ BDS Counselling Application Form

• Bank Challan Payment: If the candidate wants to make payment through challan mode, they need to click on 'Print Challan' button. After clicking a Bank Challan will appear in a triplicate form which should be downloaded by the candidate (consisting of Bank's Copy, Board's Copy & Candidate's Copy) and using the Bank challan, he/she should then deposit UGMAC-2018Counselling Fee at any Branch of Canara Bank. After depositing the counselling fee, the Canara Bank will return to the candidate the Board's Copy and Candidate's Copy of the paid challan. Bank charge of Rs.60/- will be paid extra by the candidate.
• Online Payment: If the candidate wants to make payment through Online Mode, they need to click on 'Online Payment' link. After clicking, the candidate can make payment through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card of any bank listed on the website. Transaction processing fee and the service tax will be paid extra by the candidate along with the Counselling Fee.

Submission of Application Form

The candidates need to submit the duly filled in BCECE UGMAC Application Form Online only. They need not send any hard copy of the application form to the concerned authority. However, candidates can take the print out of the application form for future use. The candidates while filling the application form should keep in mind that the details filled by them in the application form are correct in all aspect. 

The Bihar UGMAC to MBBS/ BDS Counselling Fees is different for the General as well as SC/ ST category. The candidates belonging to the respective categories must pay their counselling fee. Bihar UGMAC Reservation of Seats

General category seat will be filled on the basis of merit of the candidates in NEET 2017. The candidates belonging to the reserved category but scores marks as same as required for general category candidates will be offered seat under general category. Such candidates will be called Meritorious Reserve Candidates (MRC). MRC candidates will have an option to get admission under both categories reserved or general.
