SRM University MBBS/BDS Admissions 2017-18

SRM University MBBS/BDS Admission 2017-18 are now open and accepting admissions on the basis of NEET scores. SRM University also known as Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University (MCI and DCI recognised), Tamil Nadu under the University of Madras has opened their admission lines for the MBBS/BDS Course.

Since SRM University is a Deemed University, therefore, MBBS/BDS Admissions 2017-18 will be done on the basis of Common counselling conducted by DGHS. Get details on  NEET Counselling 2017 for Deemed Universities 15% AIQ Here.

• All MBBS / BDS admissions for SRM University will be done through All India common counselling by DGHS.

• As per the rules of government from the 2016 onwards all the admissions to the MBBS/BDS course, University will intake the students based on their NEET Percentile Scores only, there for the SRM University MBBS/ BDS Admissions will be conducted on NEET Percentile Merit only, No Entrance exam will be conducted for MBBS Admissions.

Age Criteria: The candidate must be minimum 17 Years old at the time of the admission to the MBBS Course.

Academic Qualification

• Applicant must have passed H.S.C / (+2) or equivalent qualification with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology with minimum marks as per MCI norms (DCI in case of BDS)
• The applicants must have a valid NEET - 2017Score.

MBBS/BDS Eligibility Criteria for Foreign/NRI Candidate 

• Applicant must have passed in 10+2 (Higher Secondary School) of India or equivalent examination eg. CBSE, ISCE, A Levels, IB, STPM, HSC, WASSCE, NCEA Level 3, American High School Diploma, etc. with 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany &  Zoology and a pass in English.
• Students following the American High School system will be considered if the above courses have been taken in the 11th and 12th grades or 'AP' (Advanced Placement) courses or completed the above science courses in the Bachelor's degree.

The admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of NEET UG scores. The NEET score is mandatory for admission to MBBS/BDS course in any government and private medical colleges in India. Candidates can get all the details about NEET application form by following the link below.

Applicants have to apply online for the MBBS/BDS Admission in the SRM University for the 2017-18 sessions. SRM University Application forms are available online on the given below links, the last date to apply is the last week of September 2017.

STEP 1: Register and Fill the Application Form: Applicants have to register to the MBB/BDS Course by specifying their details in the given columns.

• After submitting the valid Email ID and contact information their Login ID and Password will be generated, which is to be used for the further login process. Applicants have to agree, the term and conditions are given on the page and click the ‘Proceed’ button to fill the application form. After clicking on the ‘Proceed’ buttons application form will be generated, Applicants have to furnish their personal and academic details in the spaces given. 

STEP 2: Upload the Photograph, Signature and Documents: In the next step applicants have to upload their digital signals and a photograph (size must be up to 2 MB).

• Now applicants have to upload their NEET Scorecard and HSC Mark sheet whose size must not be more than 2 MB (PDFs Only).

STEP 3: Applicants have to now click on save and continue button to proceed, the Final overview of the application form can be seen in the image given below. Applicants can edit and view their application.

STEP 4: Pay the Application Fee: Applicants have to pay Rs. 1000 as application fees after which they will get an Application number and access to submission. The candidates have to make the payment using online modes only.

STEP 5: An application number will be generated, applicants are advised to keep their login ID, Password and Application number safe for future references.

STEP 1:  Create Account by filling the registration details in the columns. An application form will be generated; applicants are required to save the login ID and Password for future references.

STEP 2:  Payment: Pay the Application Fee through Credit Card/Debit Card. DD option to be chosen by students who do not have Credit/Debit Card.

STEP 3:  Course Selection: Select Program and Select Preferred Branches (Choose Any 3).

STEP 4:  Applicant Details: Select “Category” (Foreign / Non-Resident Indian (NRI) / NRI Sponsored) and fill Details {Refer Annexure A}.

STEP 5:  Fill All Personal Details and Give Valid Address. After Filling Personal Details Click Save and Continue Button To Fill Educational Qualification Details.

STEP 6:  Uploads: Upload the Photograph, Signature and Documents Required For Admission.

Note: Foreign/NRI candidates are advised to keep a digitally scanned copy of the following documents handy before applying to save time. The size of the each of the Documents listed below must be less than 200 Kb.

• Passport copy of the Parent/Sponsor
• Proof of NRI status of the applicant and/or Parent/Sponsor (Residence proof/Work permit/Driving license)
• Qualifying Examination(Grade 12 /Diploma/Bachelors/Master’s degree transcripts) 
• NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) UG 2017 scores – Mandatory for MBBS and BDS applicants.  

Payment of the Application Fee:

Applicants can pay the application fees in two modes that are Online payment and offline payment.

Online Payment:  Credit/Debit Card. Internet Banking or Payzapp Wallet

Offline Payment: Payment through the demand draft is to be made in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Applicants have to write their name and address at the back of the demand draft and it should be received before the last date to the following given address:

Note: Application number will only be generated on the receipt of the application form.

Application Submission

Applicants need not send the hard copy of the application to the university; Application form will be submitted automatically after the payment of the application fees. Only online submission is considered valid, Submission from any other modes will be rejected. However, applicants have to send the demand draft to the SRM university.

The candidates have to pay SRM MBBS/BDS Application fees of Rs 1000.

SRM University Fee Refund Policy

The applicants can request for the refund of  the fees under the given two conditions:

• Request received before the date of commencement of classes
• Request received within 30 days from the date of commencement of classes

Total Fees excluding registration fees Rs 10,000 or Rs 5000 will be refunded if applicants have requested it before the commencement of classes, and in case class commencement has been started 50% of the tuition fee may be refunded subject to the condition that the seat thus vacated is filled.

SRM Scholarship and Fee Waivers

Scholarships and various other loans facilities are available for all the undergraduate students of SRM University. 

• Previously students have been disbursed with the scholarships worth 24 Crores and tuition fees are waived off from 25% to 100% based on their merit in sports, academics, and economic background.

SRM Admissions to MBBS will be considered on the basis of the NEET-2017 Scores only. All the applicants as per their NEET 2017 Scores will be shortlisted for the counselling of the MBBS Seats and will be called on the given following address for the admissions:
