Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Eligibility criteria
Age: Candidates must be of the age 18 years to 22 years i.e. he should be born on 1 August 1996 to 31 July 2000. 5 years relaxation for SC/ ST candidates and 3 Years relaxation to the OBC candidates.
Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation or equivalent and Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering from, AICTE Approved Institution with 60% aggregate.
- 5% Relaxation to National Level position holder and wards of the Indian Coast Guard Uniform personnel deceased while in service are eligible to apply.
Non Eligibility- Candidates from the open school of learning not recognised by the government are not eligible to apply.

Steps to fill the Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/ 2018 Batch Application Form:
To ease the process of the application form filling, the candidates are provided with the steps to fill the Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/ 2018. Hence, the candidates are suggested to follow the instructions and fill the form accordingly.
STEP 1: Follow the given link, read the instruction panel carefully and select the post you want to apply from, Yantrik Technical (Mechanical), Yantrik Technical (Electrical), Yantrik Technical (Electronics). The candidate has to then click on the “I Agree” button to continue to fill the application form.
STEP 2: Fill up the application form giving the required details. (Kindly note that all information given by the applicant must be correct as per their original documents).
STEP 3: Give a valid Email ID and Phone number where the details of the examination and centre will be intimated for the candidate.
STEP 4: Candidate has to choose their nearest test centres from the list given, Only one choice will be available to be selected by the candidates.
STEP 5: After completing the application form candidates have to recheck the information they have entered before submitting the information else their candidature will be cancelled by the authorities.
STEP 6: At last, the candidates have to click on "Submit" button.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/ 2018 Admit Card
After the successful submission of the application form, the candidates would be allotted a unique registration number which will be required to download the admit card. The admit card can only be downloaded online. Admit card will hold the name of the candidates, venue of the examination, date of the examination etc which should be examined by the candidates. The admit cards is available candidates can take the printout of the e - admit card till 7 February 2018.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Result and Counselling
Indian Coast Guard recruitment for Yantrik will be purely merit-based only, the candidates qualifying to the written test will have to undergo various other selection processes. The detailed selection procedure is given below.
- Only Candidates who have cleared their written test will be able to download their call letters from the Indian Coast Guard Official website for further process.
- Shortlisting criteria for the Yantrik recruitment test will be merit-based, Applicants, having higher marks in the qualifying examination will be preferred.
- The selection list of the candidates for Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/ 2018 will be released in the month of July 2018.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik - Physical Fitness Test
The physical fitness test will be only conducted for those candidates who have cleared their written test, The given following standards must be passed by the applicants during their PFT.
- 1.6 Km running to be completed in 7 Minutes.
- 20 Squats Ups ( Uthak Baithak)
- 10 Pushups.
Candidates based upon their results in the Written test and PFT( Physical Fitness Test) will undergo the Medical Test in a ratio which is to be selected by Indian coast Guard Board.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik - Medical Test
A medical test will be conducted by the authorized military doctors. Medical standards that applicants have to pass are given below.
- Height: Minimum 157 cm. The height of the applicants from hilly areas and tribal areas will be according to the central government orders.
- Chest: Minimum expansion 5cms.
- Weight: Proportionate to the height and age with +/- 10 percent acceptable.
- Hearing: Normal
- Visual Standards: 6/24 without glasses and 6/9, 6/12 with glasses for better eye and worse eye respectively.
- Tattoos: Permanent body tattoos will not be allowed at any part of the body. Candidates belonging to tribal areas communities as declared by Govt. of India will have certain concessions.
- Applicants must not have a cardiovascular disease or and another body deformity like Knocked Knees, Bowlegs or any accidental nonmovement of body parts.
The candidates will be provisionally declared fit but the final physical test will be conducted at INS Chilka. If such candidates fail the physical test at INS Chilka will not be enrolled in the training.
Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 02/2018 Batch Training
Basic Training for the Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Batch 02/2018 will commence from August 2018. Yantriks are liable to be discharged from the training session based on their performance during the training period.
Note: SC/ST candidates not employed in the Central/State government will be given the allowance of 2nd class fare by train/ govt. Bus/steamer charges as per government rules if the shortest route from their home to the place of examination is beyond 30 Km.

Candidates should keep in mind that promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Pradhan Sahayak Engineer. Promotion to the next rank and officer cadre is subject to suitability and performance.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Exam pattern
There will be an objective type written test to be conducted by Indian coast Guard Board. The written test will include the questions from the respective field of the candidates i.e. Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics and Telecommunication, along with the questions based on the General knowledge, Aptitude, Reasoning and English. Candidates who have qualified the entrance test will undergo the Physical Fitness Test.
Guidelines for Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Entrance Day
- Candidates have to reach the examination center 1 hour before the reporting timings that has been furnished on their admit cards.
- Candidates have to bring along their 3 application form copies with roll number prescribed on them with the latest passport size photograph (not older than two months) with a blue background to be pasted at the application form along with the signature in the space provided.
Documents to be carried on Exam Day
Original along with Photocopies of all the documents (duly attested by the government authority) given below are to be provided at the test centre on the dayofwritten test. Candidates without having the prescribed documents not be allowed to give the examination.
- 3 copies of pre-filled application form.
- Class 10 pass certificate and mark sheet
- Diploma certificate and mark sheets of all the semesters
- Identity proof such as Passport, Adhaar card, voter ID, college ID or any other photo ID.
- Caste certificate issued by Tehsildar/SDM/DM(if applicable)
- 10 recent passport size certificate with the blue background.
- Sports certificates of the candidate
- Any electronic item or gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall, all the candidates will be frisked prior to the examination.

- Candidate applying for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment must not have any previous criminal record or must not be arrested or prosecuted for any criminal charges.
- All the original documents provided at the time of the written test will be returned on the same date after verification.
- Call letters for the final medical test will be sent to only successful candidates; unsuccessful candidates will not be intimated.
- Final Selection of the candidates will be merit-based only based on their performances in the Written, Physical and Medical Test.
