Indian Army 51st Short Service Commission (Tech) Men (married/ unmarried) and 22nd Short Service Commission (Tech) Women (unmarried) Applications are invited for the course commencing from October 2018. The training would be done at the Officers Training Academy OTA, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Including Widows of Defence Personnel for Technical & Non-Technical Entry are also eligible to apply. The application form can be filled through an online mode. Although, there are certain eligibility and other requirements which have to be fulfilled by the students. Indian Army 51st SSC (Tech) Men & 22nd SSC (Tech) Women Oct-2018 Eligibility criteria
Nationality: (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
Age Limit:
- FOr SSC (T) 51 Men and SSSCW (T) 22 Women - 20 to 27 years as on 1 October 2018. The candidates should be born between 2 October 1991 and 1 October 1998
- For Widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only - SSCW (Non-Tech) (Non-UPSC) and SSCW (Tech): A maximum of 35 years of age as on 1 October 2018.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Engineering Degree or in the final year examination of engineering course from a recognised college/University of India is eligible to apply.
- Candidates who are in final year of their degree have to clear all the examination and their degree must be completed before October 2018
- Final year candidates have to produce their engineering degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at OTA.

The application process for Indian Army SSC (Tech) Men and Women have started and the candidates can fill the form through online mode only. It should be kept in mind that there is no offline application of filling up the form. The last date to fill the form is 15 February 2018. Hence, the candidates are suggested to fill and submit the form as soon as possible to escape the last minute rush. The link to fill the form is given below. Steps to Fill the Indian Army SSC Application Form 2018
STEP 1: Click on "Officers Entry Apply/ Login" and then click on the "Registration" tab given on the website. The candidates have to fill the online registration form it is recommended to read the instructions carefully.
STEP 2: After the registration process, the candidates are required to click on ‘Apply Online’. A page ‘Officers Selection - Eligibility’ will open. Then click ‘Apply’ shown against the course. A page "Application Form" will open
STEP 3: Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill details as required under various segments. Personal information, Communication details, Education details and details of previous SSB. ‘Save & Continue’ each time before preceding to the next segment.
STEP 4: After filling details on the last segment, ‘Summary of information’ will be opened where candidates can check and edit their entries.
STEP 5: After crosschecking of all the information candidates have to click the submit option.Information once submitted cannot be altered again. Candidates have to keep a copy of the printed application form for future references.
SSC Application Process for Widow of Defence Personnel
Widows of defence personnel will have to apply OFFLINE by sending their applications directly to the given following address:

Indian Army 51st SSC (Tech) Men & 22nd SSC (Tech) Women Oct-2018 Result and Counselling
- STEP 1: All the applications will be screened and shortlisted by Integrated HQ of MoD(Army), HQ reserves the right to shortlist the applications and to fix the cutoff percentage of marks for each engineering discipline without assigning any reason.
- STEP 2: Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at Selection Centres, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer.
- STEP 3: Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued only through candidate’s registered e-mail id and through SMS. Candidates will not be interviewed locally. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of DG Rtg, IHQ MoD (Army).

Documents to be carried at selection centre
Following given documents in original is to be produced at the time of the SSB interview at the centre designated to the candidate.Failing to carry the below-mentioned documents will cancel the candidature.
- One copy of the application form with self-attested photograph affixed on that.
- Self-attested copy of Matriculation or equivalent certificate issued by the CBSE or equivalent board for the date of birth proof.
- Self-attested copy of 12th Class Certificate & Mark sheet.
- Self-attested copy of Engineering Degree/Provisional Degree
- Self-attested copy of Mark sheets for all Semesters.
- Certificate from the Principal/Head of the Institution stating that the candidate is in final year and all exams in respect of the candidate will be over by 1 Apr 2018 (for final year appearing candidates).
- Equivalence certificate from the concerned university to claim equivalence.

Indian Army SSC Recruitment - Travelling Allowances
Candidates shortlisted for the SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of commission will be given travelling allowances for ACIII Tier to and fro railway fare or bus face including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will NOT be entitled to travelling allowances on any subsequent occasion.
