The Khalsa College Amritsar takes admission through Entrance Test for the following undergraduate courses and for some of the courses, there will be no entrance exam. The list of the courses in which the admission will not be done on the basis of entrance may be done directly on merit based.

Age: To apply for UG courses, the candidate should be a minimum of 17 years of age on 31 December 2018.

Academic Qualification: To apply for UG courses in Khalsa College Amritsar, the candidate must have passed 10+2 exam from PSEB/CBSE/ICSE or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU).

The minimum required percentage in the qualifying exam:

• B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture: The candidate who has passed 10+2 Science exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
• B.Sc (Hons) Food Science & Technology: The candidate who has passed 10+2 Science exam of PSEB/CBSE/ICSE with 40% marks
• Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT): The candidate who have passed 10+2 Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
• B.Sc (Hons.) Physics/Chemistry/B.Sc. Biotech: The candidate must have passed 10+2 Medical/Non-Medical with 40% marks in aggregate.
• B.A Social Sciences: The candidate must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks in aggregate in any stream.
• Bachelor of Computer Applications: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board in science group with 40% marks

The application form must be filled in candidate's handwriting. Candidate will need four passport size photograph while filling the application form. One photograph has to be pasted on the Admission Form and the other three are to be pasted on the slips attached with the Admission Form.

Documents to be attached along with the Khalsa College Amritsar Application form

• Self-attested copies of certificates/detailed marks cards of having passed the lower examinations.
• A copy of the matriculation certificate as a proof of the date of birth.
• Character certificate from the head of the institution last attended as a regular student.
• Students belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Tribes/ Backwards Classes are required to attach a certificate to the effect from the competent authority. Affidavits will not be accepted.

In case a candidate is from other University/Board then they must provide the following certificate:

• Inter-University Migration certificate
• Eligibility Certificate from Guru Nanak Dev University. 

Apart from all the above documents, all the candidates must attach their Character Certificate from the institute where the student last studied otherwise the admission will not be given if it is not provided.

Submission of Application Form

Candidates are advised to check the details of the application form and then make the final submission as the candidates need to know that once the application gets submitted, the candidates will not be able to change the details of the application form. The duly filled application form along with all the necessary documents must be submitted personally to the college office on or before the deadline

The Annual Fee Structure of different courses in Khalsa College, Amritsar is given in the table below. The candidates are required to pay the annual fee according to the course they are enrolling for.

Merit will be based on the marks secured by the candidate in the Entrance Test and Class 12 marks taken together. The weightage given will be as follows: 

Bachelor in Physiotherapy and B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and Food Science & Technology

Khalsa College Amritsar Entrance Test will be an Objective type test based on Class 12 syllabus of Punjab School Education Board/ GNDU or equivalent Board. 

• Duration of Test: 2 hours 
• No. of Questions: There will be 100 MCQ of one mark each
• Mode of exam: Pen and Paper based test. Candidates have to use only Black Pen to mark answers in OMR sheets. 
• Negative Marking: There will be no Negative marking.

B.Sc.(Hons.) - I Chemistry & Physics and B.Sc. (Biotechnology)

The exam pattern provided below is for the above-mentioned course. The duration of the test and the number of question get asked is given below.

• Duration of Test: 1 hr 30 mins
• No. of Questions: There will be a total of 75 MCQ of one mark each.
