Chitkara University Chandigarh Engineering  Admission 2018

Chitkara University Chandigarh Counselling 2018 was started from 9 June 2018 and ended on 10 June 2018. All the students that fulfilled the required conditions could attend the counselling session. Chitkara University Chandigarh is a Government recognised university with two campuses:

• Punjab Campus: 15% seats at Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab are exclusively reserved for the candidates of Punjab Domicile.

• Himachal Pradesh: 25% of the total seats at Chitkara School of Engineering and Technology, Himachal Pradesh are reserved for Bonafide candidates of Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria for B.E 

The candidates will be given the admission based on JEE Main score. It is mandatory for all candidates to produce proof qualifying Class 12 and valid JEE-Mains 2018 scorecard at the time of counselling, failing which their candidature for admission will stand cancelled.

• The candidates will be given the admission based on JEE Main score.
• Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2015 or later including those who are appearing in it in 2018.
• The candidate must have scored 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in Class 12.
• The candidates who are born on or after October 01, 1994 can apply.  (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/ Secondary School Education Board only will be taken as authentic).

Candidate must ensure that duly filled application form along with the Application fee must reach Chitkara University on or before the last week of April 2018.

Chitkara Application fee: Rs. 1100 (to be paid while purchasing the application form)

• The Chitkara Application Form 2018 is available for download on the official website. However, due to some technical problem in Chitkara website, candidates must not download the online application form even though it is available online, the offline application forms are available in 81 book stalls in Delhi and various other bookstores across the country.

• The candidates can procure the application form from any nearby book stalls on payment of Rs. 1100.

• The candidate has to fill in all the required details in the application form and send it to Chitkara university.  
• Along with the application form, the candidates have to send:
  • Two passport size photographs with Candidate's Name and Date of Birth written on the back of the photograph.
  • Class 10 mark-sheets.

Submission of Application

The candidates have to submit the application offline, the form will contain a return courier option with the address mentioned, and the candidates can send the application by courier to the university.

Submission of application form for NRI Candidates: NRI candidates who have chosen to download  the application form must submit the hard copy of the filled-in application along with necessary documents, on or before the due date to:

The application fee shall be paid either in cash or by Demand Draft in favour of "Chitkara University" payable at Chandigarh. Cheques shall NOT be accepted.

Chitkara University B.E Fee Structure

The tution fee shall be paid either in cash or by Demand Draft in favour of "Chitkara University" payable at Chandigarh. Cheques shall NOT be accepted.

The selection of the candidates will be based on the basis of JEE Score. The merit list will be declared after combing the JEE score and qualifying examination marks.

• If two or more candidates have the same score in JEE main, in that case, for seat allocation the marks of the next lower exam would be taken into consideration.

Chitkara University Chandigarh Counselling

Chitkara University Chandigarh Counselling 2018 was started from 9 June 2018 and ended on 10 June 2018. The candidates were required to appear for the counselling in person, failing to do so would amount to rejection on the seats.

Documents to be submitted at the time of Chitkara counselling:

• Certificate and Mark Sheet of Class X & Class XII.
• Certificate and Mark Sheet of graduation (only for post-graduate programs).
• Migration certificate from the Board/University last attended.
• Rank card of qualifying examination, if the result is not declared then attach Admit Card (where ever applicable).
• Character certificate as per the format mentioned on the university website.
• Medical fitness certificate as per the format mentioned on the university website.
• Reserve category certificate, if applicable.
• An affidavit signed by Executive Magistrate/ Notary Public required in case of gap in the studies for not being involved in any criminal activities during the gap period.

All candidates granted admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) are required to be in possession of a laptop computer. The configuration of the laptop will be available on the University website.
