About AP MEDCO
AP MEDCO MBBS and BDS admissions in the academic session 2016-17 will be done on the basis of NEET score. The Application process has begun from August 23, 2016.
Till last year Andhra Pradesh Private Medical & Dental Colleges Managements Association (AP MEDCO) conducted a computer-based Medical Common entrance Test (MCET) for MBBS and BDS admissions. But from this year admission to “B” Category Seats In MBBS & BDS Courses In Private Un-Aided Non-Minority Medical & Dental Colleges In Andhra Pradesh will be done on basis of NEET score secured by the candidate.
- The candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the Computer Based (Online) Entrance Test to become eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
- There are 14 Medical Colleges and 13 Dental Colleges taking admission through AP MEDCO 2016. All the colleges are private in nature.
- AP MEDCO Counselling Venue: Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.

The Admission Policy of the Association for Under-Graduate Medical/Dental (MBBS/BDS) course in constituent colleges affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada for the academic year 2016-17 is as under:

AP MEDCO Eligibility criteria
Age: Age has to be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in Class 10 or equivalent examination.
- Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years of age by December 31, 2016.
- Candidates born on or after January 02, 2000 are nor eligible to apply for MBBS and BSD courses.
Educational Qualification:
- Outside Andhra Pradesh: Candidates possessing the qualification of the University / Board of an institution outside the AP State should submit an Eligibility / Equivalence certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh.
- Outside India: Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board of an institution outside INDIA should submit a Eligibility / Equivalence certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi and Eligibility / Equivalence certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad to the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh.
AP MEDCO Application form and Admit Card
The admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of NEET UG scores. The NEET score is mandatory for admission to MBBS/BDS course in any government and private medical colleges in India. Candidates can get all the details about NEET application form by following the link below.
AP MEDCO 2016 application form can only be filled online. Application forms are available on the official website of APMEDCO from August 23, 2016, and the last date to apply is August 30, 2016.

Already Registered Candidates: The candidates who had already successfully applied for AP-MCET-AC- 2016 in April & May 2016 can directly go to Login Link by using the Credentials User ID(Application Number) & Password DOB for the Application Form & can fill the Required Details.

STEP 1: Registration & Payment of Application Fee: Fill in the basic details, qualifying exam and select the payment mode.
- Application Fee can be paid through Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking. After successful payment of the application fee, the candidate will get the Application Number and Password to his/her registered Email id and Mobile Number.
STEP 2: Fill the Application Form and Upload the Photograph and Signature: After paying the application fee, candidate has to fill-in the detailed application form giving his/her Personal details, Academic Qualification, preference of test center
- Scanned photograph and signature must be in .jpg format of 80 KB.
Submission of AP MEDCO Application Form 2016
AP MEDCO application form has to be submitted online only. After filling the complete Application Form, candidates are advised to take a print-out of the application for and note down application number for future use.
AP MEDCO Fees
AP MEDCO AC Application fee: Candidates need to pay Rs 2000 as application fee (The candidates who have earlier applied for MCET don't have to pay the application fee.

AP MEDCO Result and Counselling

The seats shall be filled through counselling by the Committee for Admissions appointed by APMDCMA as per merit from the candidates who have qualified NEET - 2016
The Candidates attending the Counselling shall pay non-refundable Counselling Fee of Rs. 5,000 in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “The Secretary, APMDCMA” payable at Vijayawada.
If allotted seat, the selected candidates shall pay non-refundable University fee of Rs. 25,000 for MBBS Course and Rs. 16,000 for BDS Course in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences” payable at Vijayawada.
AP MEDCO Result and Merit List 2016
Till last year MBBS/BDS admission were done in the following manner:
AP MEDCO MCET 2016 Result for will be declared by the third week of May 2016 for the exam to be conducted on May 13, 2016.
Minimum Marks: As per Medical Council of India /Dental Council of India regulations, the candidates shall secure a minimum of 50% marks in the Computer Based Entrance Test to become eligible for admission into MBBS/BDS courses.
- The ranking will be on the basis of the candidate's rank in MCET- AC and the marks of science subjects of the qualifying examination. % of weightage will be as follows:

For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one candidate securing the same combined score obtained as per sub-rule above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative by successively considering the following:
- The total marks secured in MCET-AC
- The marks secured in biology in MCET-AC
- The marks scored in physics in MCET-AC
- The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination.
- If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.
- The Marks scored in the MCET–AC will be displayed in the official website of AP MEDCO. The candidates shall submit the marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e. Intermediate or Equivalent Examination after the announcement of Marks secured in MCET–AC through online in the same website.
- The candidates have to submit the total marks secured in the qualifying examination and also the marks secured in the Science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology (Biology) / Bio–Technology and they have to upload the scanned copy of the marks memo of the qualifying examination.
AP MEDCO Exam pattern
AP MEDCO MCET 2016 will be a computer based test. The standard of questions will be based on 10+2, Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
Duration of MCET AC: 3 hours (180 minutes).
Language of MCET AC : The question paper will be in English and Telegu.
Number &Type of Questions: 160 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Each correct answer will carry one mark.
Negative Marking: There is no negative marking for a wrong answer.
