PUCET 2018

PUCET 2018 will be conducted by Panjab University on 29 April 2018 for admission to BSc, and B.Pharma in Panjab University. The candidates can apply online only until 6 April 2018. Admission to B.Pharm and B.Sc. would be based on a combined score of qualifying examination & PUCET 2018 marks in the ration of 25:75. The PUCET 2018 entrance exam will be conducted for admission to the following courses.

PUCET 2018 Dates

Age: The candidate who has attained 17 years of age as on 31 December of the year of admission can also apply.

• Blind, deaf and dumb candidates are not allowed to take the admission in BHMS.
• Admission into BHMS course will be made on NEET scores.

Admission to Foreign Nationals/ PIO and NRIs:

• Candidates appearing under the head foreign nationals, Person of Indian Origin/ NRI Candidates are exempted from the entrance test; they can straightway take the interview for finalisation of the seats.

Academic Qualification:

Those candidates who have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognised board.

Note: Candidates from Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are not allowed to take the entrance test; the institution has been derecognized by the Panjab University. Candidates from Board of Higher Secondary Education are also debarred from appearing in the exam.

STEP 1: Register Online: Candidate has to register on the University Website and note down log- in details.

STEP 2: Take Printout of the Bank Slip: The candidate can also download the Bank Slip from the account using Login Id and Password.

STEP 3: Pay the Application Fee at any SBI  Branch by using the Bank slip: The candidate has to deposit fee minimum one day after the bank slip is generated/printed. The last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch is 9 April 2018.

STEP 4: Log in after 24 hours of fee payment: At last Candidate must log-in again after 24 hours of fee payment to:  

• Upload the Scanned Candidates have to upload their recent passport size photograph along with the scanned signature. (less than 100kb size)
• Provide other important information. 

STEP 5: After filling the filling it completely must press the submit button: Candidate needs to submit the form online only. It is informed that once the application form is submitted, no correction is possible to be made.

Submission of Application Form

The candidate must submit the application form online only. Candidate need not send application forms to the University. However, the candidates are advised to take a printout of application form for future reference.

Panjab University BHMS Fee Structure

The results will be available on the official website of Panjab University. No separate result card would be issued to the candidates. 

PU Merit List

The admission to the courses would be made based on the merit list prepared. The merit list would be based on the ratio of 25% marks obtained in the qualifying exam and 75% marks obtained in PUCET exam. Merit list for B.Pharma and BSc will be prepared as under: 

The merit list of the candidates would be made based on the following subjects: 

• Physics, Chemistry, Biology
• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Mathematics only. 

A candidate can only appear in the merit list if they have secured 15% of the aggregated cut-off; however, in case, of SC/ST/OBC candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% given the cutoff mark. 

PU CET 2018 Answers Keys

The answer keys will be put on the university website on 1 May 2018. The candidates can file for discrepancies till 3 May 2018 by e-mail to arcet@pu.ac.in.

• For candidates who wish to verify their results, they would be provided with a photocopy of their answer script on the payment of Rs. 10,000. In case, if there are any discrepancies, the result would be revised and the candidate will be refunded the amount which they have invested.

Medium of Examination: English Only

Duration of Examination: 1 Hour 10 minutes/paper

Negative Marking: 0.25 deductions for each wrong answer. 2 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
