AIIMS BSc Nursing 2018 - The counselling of AIIMS BSc Nursing has been started. Aspirants who have qualified in the entrance exam were called for AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling. AIIMS BSc Nursing Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria given on this page below is different for the B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing, Bachelor in Optometry & B.Sc. (H) Medical Technology in Radiography and B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic). The candidates are suggested to go through the complete eligibility details and ensure their eligibility before filling up the application form.

AIIMS Eligibility Criteria for the following Courses
- B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing
- Bachelor of Optometry
- B.Sc. (H) Medical Technology in Radiography
- Only Indian Citizen/ Foreign Nationals will be admitted in AIIMS, New Delhi only. The candidate must attain 17 years of age as on 31 December of the year of admission. The candidates who are born on or after 2 January 2001 are not eligible for application.
- The applicant must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (EPCB). For B.Sc.(H) nursing course only female candidates are eligible
- Candidates who are due to appear in the qualifying examination or candidates who have appeared and still waiting for the results can also apply for the entrance test.
- The candidates should have minimum qualifying marks in the qualifying examination. For Gen/OBC it is 55% and 50% in case of EPCB.
AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate has passed the qualifying examination from a recognised board or university. The Qualifying Examination is 10+2 or relevant exam recognised by the UGC and NCERT.
- The candidate should have a diploma in General nursing and Midwifery from a recognised Indian Nursing Council. Those who have passed 10+1 on or before 1986 are also eligible.
- Candidate must have been registered as a nurse in registered nurse and registered midwife council.
- Male nurses should have passed before the integrated course guidelines as prescribed in 2003.
Admission Criteria for Foreign Nationals
The eligibility criteria for foreign students would be at par with the Indian counterparts, but the foreign nationals need not appear in the entrance examination. They would be evaluated based on the marks and score obtained by them in the qualifying examination. It is important to secure 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing Admit Card 2018
The admit card is available online from 9 June 2018. Aspirants can download the hall ticket of AIIMS BSc Nursing 2018 from the link provided below. In order to download the admit card, candidates must enter the candidate ID, password and captcha code. After downloading the admit card, the candidates are suggested to check the details such as Name, Venue of the exam, exam timing etc.
If the candidates are not able to find their admit card, in that case, they will have to write an email to Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi-110608 at exams.ac@gmail.com and they should provide full particulars of the registration form.
To download the hall ticket of AIIMS BSc Nursing 2018, aspirants must enter their candidate ID, password and provided captcha code. The link to download the admit card has been provided on this page. Earlier, the date of issuance of AIIMS Nursing hall ticket was extended from 16 to 7 June 2018.

The application process for AIIMS BSc Nursing Admission has started from 23 March 2018. While filling the application form, the candidates have to upload the scanned copy of the photo, signature and left thumb impression. The last date to fill the application form is 12 April 2018. Hence, the candidates are suggested to fill the form on or before the due date.

Steps to fill the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Application Form
The steps and the instructions to fill the application form is given and the candidates are suggested to follow the steps below to fill the form correctly. There are three steps to be followed.
Step 1 (Registration)
- In the first step of form filling, the candidates have to register themselves on the official website by filling the basic details like Full name, DOB, Category, E-mail, Contact number etc to get login credentials.
- After the completion of Registration, the candidates will get SMS and Email intimating about the login credentials. The candidates need to fill the further application form using login credentials.
Step 2 (Filling up the Application Form)
- Using the login credentials, the candidates have to log in and then have to complete the application form by filling up the details like Qualification & Address details, City Choice etc.
- The candidates have to make the payment of the application fee and after that, the candidates can choose the choice of their test centres
Step 3 (Upload images)
- While uploading the images, the candidates have to upload scanned images of the photograph, thumb impression and signature.
- The photograph to be uploaded must be taken within 6 months from online registration opening date.
- Photograph: The digital size of the Photograph file must be between 10 KB-100 KB
- Signature & Thumb: digital size of Signature and Left Thumb Impression file must be between 10 KB-50 KB.
Step 4 (Print the Application Form)
- At last, the candidates have to submit the application form and take the printout of the application form.
- The candidates are also advised to keep at least two printouts of the application form with them for future reference.
Submission of Application Form
The candidates have to submit all the information including their photograph, signature and thumb impression online, the submission will be completely online. The acknowledgement of the submission will be sent to the personal email id of the candidates. No Separate call letter acknowledging the acceptance of application would be sent.

After submitting the Application fee, it will not be possible to make any Amendment / Rectification / Change / Editing in the field of:
- Candidate's Name, Date of Birth, Category (SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL)/ UR/ OPH

AIIMS BSc Nursing Fees
Application Fees are different for all the categories. The candidates belonging to the respective categories must pay their application fee accordingly. The fee has to be paid through online mode only that is credit card/ debit card/ net banking. The Application fee once paid by the candidates is non-refundable. AIIMS BSc Nursing Result and Counselling
- The results will be declared on 29 June 2018 in different dates B.Sc Post Basic, B.Sc Para Medical and B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing courses.
- For B.Sc. Nursing, the number of candidates called for counselling would be 4 times the number of seats available; however, for other courses, the number of available seats would be 8 times.Counselling will commence with combined merit list starting from Rank
- The reserved candidate called under the combined merit list will be dealt as per the reservation criteria i.e. they will not be allowed to contest in the unreserved category if the reserved seats are filled.
- Any candidate who opts for a confirmed seat in the Counselling, his/her original certificate will be retained and the same will not be returned to the candidate before completion of the course unless he/ she deposits a sum of Rs. 5,000 (Rupees five thousand only) irrespective of the fact whether he/she joins the course or not.
- If a candidate joins any of the B.Sc. (Hons), Medical Technology in Radiography/ Bachelor of Optometry course/ B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)

In case of Tie in the score
- Candidate obtaining less negative marks would be considered.
- Candidates older in age will be considered.
If two candidates belonging to the same category obtains equal marks, in that case, their results would be decided by:
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (or Mathematics, in the case of Para-Medical courses) in the entrance examination.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics in the entrance examination.
- Candidate older in age to be preferred.

Selection for AIIMS B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic)
The candidate has to take 70 objective type questions in stage 1 and they will have to score the maximum to move to the next level. In the stage 2 category, candidates three times the number of seats will be invited for personal assessment. Admission will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by candidates in Stage-1 & Stage-2
- Stage 1 (Written Test): The first stage is the written test in which admission in the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing course will be done.
- Stage 2 (Personal Interview): On the basis of the merit list based on the marks secured in Stage 1, the candidate will be invited for Personal Interview by a Selection Committee.
- Marks in Personal Assessment will be awarded out of 30: The following factors will be considered.
- Past academic attainment in the Higher Secondary or +2 or equivalent examination;
- Past academic attainment in the Nursing examination;
- Performance as a Staff Nurse.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Exam pattern
- Mode of Exam: AIIMS B.Sc Nursing will be a Computer Based exam conducted in the English language.
- No. of Questions: The question paper will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Each correct answer fetches 1 mark
- Duration of Exam: Two Hours
- Negative marking: There will be negative marking, one-third mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. More than one response will be negatively marked. Zero marks are given for non-attempt of any question.

The exam pattern given below is for the following courses- Bachelor's of Optometry
- BSc (Hons) Medical Technology in Radiography Courses.
The question paper will consist of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), there will be 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) from each subject. The candidate may either attempt biology part or Mathematics part.

- AIIMS BSc. Nursing (Post Basic) written test will be in The English language.
- Question paper of B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) will contain 70 MCQ questions in the subjects of Nursing fundamentals, Obstetrics Nursing and Midwifery, Medical Surgical Nursing including Anatomy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Professional Trends in Nursing.
- Duration of Examination: 1 Hour 30 Minutes
- Negative marking: There will be negative marking, one-third mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
