LUVAS Veterinary College Admission 2018 - Application Begins

LUVAS 2018 admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H and B.Tech (Dairy Technology) will be done on the basis of Entrance exam conducted on 22 July 2018. The application process for the same has been started from 14 May 2018. Candidates seeking BVSc and AH admission in Haryana must apply to LUVAS, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. Till 2016, the Admissions at LLR University were done on the basis of AIPVT which is not conducted now. Now admission to all the seats (except NRI seats) at the College of Veterinary Sciences, Hisar, Bahu Akbarpur, Rohtak will be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the entrance test conducted by the university itself. The duration of B.V.Sc & A.H degree course is 5 years. The course also includes a compulsory rotating internship of six months. LUVAS Dates 2018

Age:  Candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and 31 December 2018. The upper age limit for candidates of all categories is 25 years as on 31 December 2018.

• Upper age limit for SC and BC is 30 years.

Academic Qualification: The candidates under all categories must have passed 10+2 in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized*/approved Board of School Education having equivalence by Council of Boards of School Education, New Delhi/CBSE/ICSE and also by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani”.

• Must have secured aggregate 50%  (47.5% for SC category) marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Haryana Domicile: Admission on all the seats of COVS, LUVAS, Hisar and the State Quota Seats of IIVER, Bahu Akbarpur, Rohtak is available for the Haryana Domicile Candidates only.

However, for admission to the Management quota seats at IIVER, Bahu Akbarpur, Rohtak, the candidates from all over India (irrespective of Haryana Domicile) will be eligible subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.

NRI: There will be no entrance test for NRI and Foreign candidates seeking admission in the COVS, LUVAS, and IIVER, Bahu Akbarpu, Rohtak.

Candidates seeking admission in COVS, LUVAS, and IIVER have to apply online. The last date to fill the online application form is 14 June 2018 (Without late fee). The last date for filling the application form for NRI candidates is 21 July 2018.

• SC/BC/EBPGC Categories of Haryana State: Rs. 700

LUVAS Scholarship for UG Students

Candidates admitted against the 'Haryana Resident seats' will be awarded scholarships. Amount of Scholarship awarded by the University:

• Candidates will be awarded Rs. 800 per month by the University.
• The scholarship will be Rs.1200 per month if the recipient is a girl.

Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR) Scholarship
ICAR awards Talent Scholarship Rs.1000 per month for UG students. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of entrance test conducted by ICAR.

LUVAS Counselling 2018

LUVAS Counselling process is likely to start from the third week of August 2018. The details of counselling and registration schedule will be displayed on the official website of the LLR University and on this page also.

• In the first schedule, counselling for State Quota seats will be held at Veterinary Auditorium, LUVAS, Hisar.
• In the second schedule, counselling for Management Quota and NRI seats will be held on the campus of IIVER, Bahu Akbarpur, Rohtak.

LUVAS Counselling Important Instructions

• At the time of counselling, the candidate has to bring all the original documents, two self-attested copies of documents, and two unattested passport size photograph (similar to the one uploaded in the application form).
• Non-production of original documents and the self-attested copies at the time of counselling on his/her turn shall make a candidate ineligible for admission.
• The children of persons of Backward Classes having a gross annual income of up to three lakh rupees shall, first of all, get the benefit of reservation in admissions. The left out quota shall go to that class of Backward Classes of citizens who earn more than three lakh rupees but up to six lakh rupees per annum. The sections of the Backward Classes earning above six lakh rupees per annum shall be considered as creamy layer.
• The candidates belonging to BCA/BCB categories have to submit latest income certificate at the time of counselling otherwise their candidature for admission will not be considered.
