IMS BHU MBBS Counselling Schedule

• There are 84 MBBS and 50 BDS seats in BHU. The students from all states and all boards can apply for admission in MBBS and BDS course at BHU.
• Until the last year, MBBS/BDS admissions in BHU were done on the basis of AIPMT. But from this year  NEET has become the qualifying exam for MBBS/BDS Admission in BHU. 
• NEET Meritorious candidates who want to take admission in MBBS/BDS courses of Institute of Medical Sciences,  Banaras Hindu University (BHU) must register themselves online in the prescribed application form available on the  BHU website. The candidates who have registered with IMS for BHU counselling will only be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS courses through IMS, BHU counselling.

MBBS/BDS Admission in BHU

Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is amongst the top 20 Medical Colleges in India. The Institute offers courses in Medicine, Ayurveda, Dental Sciences and Nursing all under one roof.

• BHU MBBS is a Four and a half year course followed by one-year compulsory rotating internship training. BDS is a Four-year course.

BHU MBBS 2017 and BDS Counselling for final allotment of seats will be held in August 2017. The counselling for all India seats will be held first and then for the remaining seats. Candidate will not be admitted in BHU MBBS and BDS course without original NEET admit card and NEET Rank letter.

• Candidates from all the Boards and all the States are eligible to register for BHU MBBS.
• Candidates eligible for NEET will be eligible for registering themselves for BHU MBBS. Candidate must have qualified for NEET 2017.
• Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent.
• Candidate must pass the medical fitness test by Medical Board of the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU.

The candidates seeking admission into Banaras Hindu University (BHU) under MBBS course need to provide the NEET score card. To appear in the NEET exam, candidates need to fill the NEET Application Form. In addition, the candidates also need to fill the BHU Application form and need to submit the same.

BHU MBBS 2017 Counselling - Apply Here

Candidates seeking admission to BHU MBBS or BDS in the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU have to register online. The candidate has to fill in the prescribed application form available on the official website of BHU. Candidate must register for IMS, BHU counselling. Those who fail to register before the due date will not be considered for IMS, BHU counselling.

Submission of BHU MBBS Application

The candidate has to apply online for BHU MBBS /BDS. Candidate do not need to send any printout of the application form to the University. However, the candidates who have registered for admission to MBBS/BDS course 2017 have to submit their NEET score card within 15 days after the declaration of their results to Form Zero website.

Candidates are advised to check the details of the application form before the final submission because once the application has been processed then the candidates will not be able to do any changes.

Application fee has to be paid via online payment mode. Candidate can either use his/her Credit Card, Debit Card or pay through Net Banking.

BHU MBBS Course Fee

 MBBS Total Course Fee - Rs. 59,850

The candidate has to appear in-person for BHU Counselling for MBBS/BDS. As per the latest update, BHU counselling will be scheduled in August 2017.  Candidate will have to report at the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU.

Allotment of seats during BHU counselling will start after verification of candidate’s documents. Here is the list of original documents to be carried for BHU counselling:

• High school Mark sheet & Certificate.
• Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent Mark sheet & Certificate.
• Qualifying Score Card of NEET 2017
• Transfer/Migration/school leaving certificate from the last attended institution.
• NEET 2017 Admit Card
• NEET 2017 Rank/Score Card
• Two photocopies of all certificates/Mark sheets and NEET 2017 admit card.
• Colored Passport size photographs-  (3.5X 4.5cm)
  • The photograph must be similar to that one in application form of NEET 2017 and IMS BHU 2017 registration.
• A character certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended/ Gazetted Officer.
• Recent Caste Certificate in Original (if applicable).

BHU MBBS Mop Up Round Counselling 2017 ^NEW

Banaras Hindu University will hold the mop up round of counselling on 31 August 2017 at 9:00 AM. The candidates eligible to register for the counselling should do so. They need to register through offline along with their Rank Letter and Original Admit Card at the following address on 29 August 2017 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on 30 August 2017 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Banaras Hindu University is inviting the registration for the Mop up round counselling for BDS Admission.  The Mop-up round of the BHU BDS counselling will be held on 7 September 2017 at 10:00 AM. The admission of the candidates to MBBS /BDS course in any government and private medical colleges in India will be done on the basis of NEET UG scores. There are total 50 BDS seats in BHU, amongst which 15% would be filled through NEET common Counselling and the remaining 85% through Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU counselling.

Physically challenged candidates would be given a horizontal reservation of 3%.
