CENTAC Result and Counselling
For B.Tech
Normalization Procedures
Basis of evaluation
- The marks obtained in the qualifying examination on the other board would be coincided with the marks obtained by the state board and subsequently, the evaluation would proceed.
- Highest marks obtained by the candidate in the other board would be assessed by the marks that are obtained by the students in Puducherry and they will be evaluated accordingly.
- If the highest marks secured by a student of the State Board, in Physics, is 100 and the highest mark secured by a student of any other Board (say “X”),on the same subject is 90, then, both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100. It is based on that the evaluation and normalization will proceed.
- The common merit list across all board would be drafted by normalizing the score of all the boards. The basic rule would be similar to pointer three mentioned above. The rule doesn’t apply for B.Tech courses, separate arrangements would be made as per the stipulated guidelines of the university.
- For B.Pharm course, the candidates applying from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra against the “All India Quota”, the maximum marks in the respective subjects will only be considered at the time of normalization.
