BFA Course Specialisations Offered
1st year is a common course for all the students and is known as the foundation course. The specialisation course begins from 2nd Year and the offered specialisations are:

About College of Art: Bachelor of Fine Arts or BFA
- College of Art is the only College of Delhi University that offers the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree under the Faculty of Music & Fine Art and is also one among the Top Bachelor of Fine Arts Colleges in India.
- Duration of the course is 4 years with specialisation in disciplines of Painting, Sculpture and Applied Art at the Undergraduate Level.
- For admission to BFA, College of Art conducts an entrance cum Aptitude test which is expected to be conducted in the month of July 2018.
- For admission, candidates are required to fill an application form which will be available along with an information booklet on the college premises.
Details about the BFA Course
- More and more emphasis is laid on practical studio work, a study of prescribed theory subjects and research in selected fields.
- The faculty comprises artists painters, sculptors and graphic designers of national, international repute. Moreover, the selected group of visiting Faculty also visits time and again to the teaching programmes.
- College of Art also conducts Annual Art Exhibition every academic year in the capital
- After graduation students can become freelance artists, designers and visualizers or try their hand for employment in Advertising Agencies, Publishing Houses, Government or Private Establishments, Teachers or Administrators or Art Programmes.
Delhi College of Art Eligibility criteria
Candidates should have passed any one of the below-mentioned examinations with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of five Subjects.
- Senior School Certificate Examination with all subjects of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
- Indian School Certificate Examination with all subjects of the Council for Indian School Certificates Examination, New Delhi.
- Intermediate Examination of all subjects of the Indian University/Board recognised by the University of Delhi.
- Pre-University (2 years) Examination of an Indian University/ Board recognised by the University of Delhi.
- Any other Examination recognised as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
Delhi College of Arts Admission in BFA - Relaxation & Concession
- Relaxation of 5% will be given to the candidates who have taken Drawing, Painting, Sculpture or Applied Art as one of the subjects in their qualifying examination.
- Concession of 5% marks will also be given to the candidates who belong to the below-mentioned category:
- For Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ OBC Candidates.
- For Widows and/ or children of Armed Personnel/ Para-Military Forces.
- For Physically challenged Candidates.
- For the wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

The duly filled in Application form along with documents must reach the Office of the Principal or deliver personally against Counter Foil at the College between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on any working day including Saturday on or before the due date or via Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier. Candidates are advised to check the details of the application form and then make the final submission as the candidates need to know that once the application gets submitted, the candidates will not be able to change the details of the application form

Candidates have to attach the following Photostat attested documents/certificates with the Application Form:
- Mark Sheet of Class 12 or equivalent
- Age Certificate (Class 10 Mark Sheet)
- Two copies of photographs of self-attested have to be pasted one each on Application Form and its Counter Foil.
- Category Certificate - (If Required)
- SC/ ST/ OBC/ AF & PH category certificate issued by the competent authority in the students’ name.
- Income Certificate - Annual Family Income certificate from competent authority if employed or appropriate documentary evidence if otherwise (only for SC/ ST/ OBC Candidates)
Delhi College of Art Fees
The application fee for the General/ OBC and SC/ ST and PH are different. Therefore, the candidates belonging to the respective categories must pay their application fee accordingly. - Candidates who will secure 50% or more marks in the Aptitude Test will be considered for admission to the Foundation.
