About DU MBBS

DU FMSC MBBS/BDS Admission 2018 is done by DGHS. DU MBBS online registration was done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The authority, FMSC, University of Delhi started DU MBBS online registrations for students under 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota seats. Now, the authority has released the DU MBBS seat allotment result for 85% state quota seats on 27 June. Along with that, the seat allotment result for All India Quota seats has been declared by MCC. NEET UG has been conducted on 6 May for admission to around 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats across the country. From all government medical and dental colleges, 15% seats have been reserved for All India Quota seats, which is filled through MCC. However, the remaining 85% state quota seats will be filled through respective state counselling committee. This year, DU FMSC MBBS/BDS admission will be done by MoHFW, Government of India.

For DU FMSC MBBS/BDS admission 2018, candidates have to secure at least minimum qualifying percentile in NEET 2018. For General category, aspirants have to secure 50 percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC aspirants, it is 40 percentile.

DU FMSC MBBS/BDS Admission 2018 Colleges

Delhi University offers admission to MBBS Course in three medical colleges and one dental college namely: 

  • Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC): Only for females
  • Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC)
  • University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS)
  • BDS Course at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS)

DU FMSC MBBS/BDS Admission 2018

  • The University of Delhi does not conduct its Entrance Exam for admission to MBBS/BDS Degree Course
  • 85% Seats are reserved for the candidates who have passed their Class 11 and 12 from the schools located in the NCT of Delhi. Remaining 15% seats are filled on all India Basis directly by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) based on NEET 2018

About DU MBBS/BDS Admission 2018

  • MBBS Course: Duration is 4½ years, followed by one-year compulsory rotating Internship Training.
  • BDS Course: Duration is four years, followed by one-year compulsory rotating Internship Training.
  • Medium: Medium of teaching and examination for MBBS and BDS courses shall be English.

DU MBBS Eligibility criteria

For admission to MBBS/BDS Degree Course in Delhi, University candidates must have passed in NEET 2018. Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in NEET. (40% in case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backwards Classes).

  • Nationality: Indian Nationals/Overseas citizens of India are eligible to apply.
  • Medical Fitness: Candidate should be medically fit for the course
  • Age Limit: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December 2018
  • Upper Age Limit is 25 years as on 1 August 2018. Upper Age Limit is relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backwards Classes. However, this shall be relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates of SC/ ST and OBC Category.
  • Candidates should satisfy themselves of their eligibility for admission to the courses.

Academic Qualification:

  • Candidates who have passed Class 12 or any other qualifying exam under 10+2 system conducted by the C.B.S.E/ Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination/ Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi are eligible to apply.
    • Candidates who have passed qualifying examination from Patrachar Vidyalaya or National Institute of Open Schooling will not be eligible.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English from the recognised schools conducting regular classes situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi can apply.
    • Candidates must have passed all the subjects separately (Theory and Practical), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. (40%marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates)

Eligibility Criteria for SC/ST/CW Category at Lady Harding Medical College

Female candidates who were to SC/ST/CW category and are from outside Delhi but have passed the Qualifying Examination from Indian Universities/ Boards or Foreign Universities/ Boards are eligible for admission to Lady Harding Medical College only against the seats reserved for these categories.

Non- Eligibility:

  • Candidates who have been placed in the compartment are not eligible. Candidates reappearing for improvement will also not be considered eligible
  • A candidate who has been admitted in MBBS or BDS Courses earlier but has failed to pass the First Professional MBBS or First year BDS Examination will not be considered eligible for admission.

Steps to fill the DU FMSC Application Form - Apply Here

The candidates for the admission into DU FMSC have to fill the IPU Application Form. 

Therefore, the candidates are suggested to fill the application form keeping the given steps in mind. The candidates are advised to follow the steps below to ignore the mistakes while filling the form.

  • STEP 1: Apply Online on MCC Website: Candidates have to fill in the online Application form for the admission to DU MBBS/BDS admission. The DU MBBS 2018 Application forms are fully automated and the payment to be made online only.
  • STEP 2: Select the Exam Category: Before filling the General Information Section, the candidate has to select any one of the three exam categories. Candidates applying for undergraduate courses must select "Engineering/ Professional/Medical programmes"
  • STEP 3: In this section, the candidates have tofill the following information:
    • Personal Details: Candidates in this section have to fill their name, date of birth, gender, father’s name, mother’s name, Nationality, category, religion and many other things.
    • Mailing Address; Candidates have to furnish the valid address, a state in which their residence is located, a city in which the state is located and pin code of the location where they stay.

    • Contact Details: Candidates have to enter their valid Email ID, Running mobile number and Residence contact number.

  • STEP 4: In this section, the candidate has to upload scanned copy of his/her passport size photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression. Click on "here" to upload.
    •  Candidates have to upload recent good quality passport size colour photograph failing to which your candidature may be cancelled.
    • Photograph and Signature specifications: JPEG/.JPG or.GIF of less than 80 KB in size.
  • STEP 5: Payment through Billdesk: Candidates have to pay the DU FMSC MBBS/BDS Application Fees at the bill desk page for the course payment either by Credit Card/Debit Card/Debit Card + ATM Pin and Internet Banking
  • STEP 6: Course registration and form generation: Once the transaction is successfully completed, candidates will be redirected to the page where their personal and course details will be provided along with the transaction ID. Candidate can take the printout of this page and keep it for future use. 

Payment DU FMSC Application fee

Application fee has to be submitted in the form of requisite Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of the “Registrar, the University of Delhi” payable at Delhi. 

DU FMSC Application Submission 2018

Candidates are not required to send the application form to IP University Delhi. However, Applicants should retain a printout of the CET application form for future use. All the candidates will have to submit the application form in online mode only.

After completing the submission of one course if the candidate wants to apply for another course he/she must log-in using his login ID and Password. Click on "Apply for Courses" tab and apply for the other course in the same manner.

  • NEET 2018 Result (Score Card).
  • Matriculation or equivalent certificate showing the date of birth.

    • the school is situated within National Capital Territory of Delhi
    • the school is recognised by the CBSE/Council for the Indian School Certificate/ Jamia Milia Islamia,

    • the applicant has attended regular classes in the school for class 11 & 12.
  • Character Certificate issued by the Principal of the school last attended or from any Gazetted officer.
  • Two copies of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe certificate.
  • Father’s SC/ST Certificate.
  • Persons With Disabilities (PWD).
  • Two copies of OBC Certificate.

As per the latest notification, DU MBBS admission 2018 is done by DGHS, Government of India. Those applicants who had registered themselves for NEET counselling were eligible for DU MBBS seat allotment. Medical Fitness Test: Candidates who have been provisionally admitted in a course have to appear medical on the dates are given by the concerned College/Institution.
