• Engineering universities/ institute under JAC Chandigarh offers admission based on JEE Main All India Rank prepared by giving 40% weightage to Class 12 Board Exams or other qualifying examination marks and 60% to the score obtained in JEE Main 2018.
• Candidate must have been declared eligible for Central Counselling by the CBSE.
• Nationality: The candidates should be an Indian National.

Academic Qualifications

• Candidates must have studied English, Physics, Mathematics, anyone out of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject) and one more extra subject.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have passed all the above-mentioned subjects individually with 45% aggregate marks in the above subjects taken together. (40% in case of reserved category).
• Candidates with Compartment:  The candidates who have been placed in a compartment are not eligible for admission for the year 2018-19.

Medical Standards

• Physique: Candidate must be in good mental and body healthy and free from any physical defect.
• Visual Standards: Candidates should have an excellent Visual acuity with or without glasses as given below:

The candidates seeking admission to all engineering/architecture programs offered by JAC Chandigarh are required to fill the online application form. The application process has been started. 

To fill JAC Chandigarh application form 2018, the candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Online Registration

• Below mentioned parameters are mandatory to be filled for successful Registration
• JEE Main Roll Number
• JEE Main Application Number
• Candidate Name
• Mother's Name
• Date of Birth
• Security Pin
• A new registration screen will appear where the candidates can register themselves only if the above-mentioned details have been entered correctly and found to be true.
• Candidates are required to furnish additional information as passed from Chandigarh or outside Chandigarh, reservations benefits under various categories.
• On successful registration, candidates have to pay the counselling Fee as discussed in Step 2.

Step 2: Counselling Fee Deposit

Candidates are required to pay the Registration Fee amounting to Rs. 2100 + Bank Charges via any of the following mode discussed below:

• Mode 1: e-Challan in SBI: Prior to the Registration, candidates have to download the SBI BANK’s eChallan Form and pay the initial registration-cum-counselling fees of Rs 2100 + Bank Charges in any branch of SBI Bank
• Mode 2: Debit/Credit Card/Internet Banking: Prior to the Registration, candidates can pay the initial registration-cum-counselling fees of Rs 2100 via Debit/Credit Card or net banking.
• Once successfully registered, candidates will get a confirmation message on the same page. In case the confirmation message is not displayed the candidate has to reregister.
• The candidate has to take the printout of the registration form.

Step 3: Reporting for Document Verification

All successfully registered candidates should report in person with all supporting documents for verification at Punjab University, Chandigarh at time and venue as per the schedule is given on this page, before the choice filling for the first round of counselling. In addition to these, candidates should bring the original documents of the following:

• Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) receipt
• JEE (Main)-2018 Result card
• 10+2 detailed marks card
• Category certificate(s)

Candidates should again Log In using Roll Number of JEE Main and Password created during JEE Main registration. If the candidate furnishes this information correctly, then the system will prompt for a change in password.

Step 4: Filling of Choices for Institute & Branch

• Candidates are required to submit their choices of Institute and Branch in order of their preference.
• If the candidates are eligible for both the streams, they have to submit single set of combined choices for Engineering & Architecture streams.
• Candidates can fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of preference as they wish to from the list of available choices.
• Candidates also have the option to change or re-order/delete/ add new choices as many number of times as they feel like.
• Candidates should make sure that they lock their choices only after they have finalized them, but in any case, before last date & time
• Candidate should follow all the steps carefully to complete the locking procedure.

The candidates are required to pay the Registration Fee amounting to Rs 2100 (General Category) and Rs 1050 (SC/ST/PwD Category).

Important Points for Admission Fee

DR. SSBUICET: Candidates who will be offered admission are required to pay Rs 40,000 to Joint Admission Committee 2018. The excess fee will be refunded by JAC 2018 after Spot round of counselling. The admitted candidates are also required to deposit a sum of Rs.1500 in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of “President, Chemical Engg. Society” by 31st August 2015.

UIET: Candidates who will be offered admission are required to pay Rs 40,000 to Joint Admission Committee 2018. The balance Fee is to be deposited in the month of November 2015. The admitted candidates are also required to deposit a sum of Rs.1000 in cash in UTECHNOS Society.

UIET PUSSGRC: Candidates who will be offered admission are required to pay Rs 40,000 to Joint Admission Committee 2018. The balance Fee is to be deposited in the month of November 2015. The admitted candidates are also required to deposit a sum of Rs.1000 in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of "PUSSGRC Students Society”, payable at Hoshiarpur.

PEC: Candidates who will be offered admission are required to pay Rs 40,000 to Joint Admission Committee 2018. The balance Fee is to be deposited in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of “Director, PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh” payable at Chandigarh.

CCET: Candidates who will be offered admission are required to pay Rs 40,000 to Joint Admission Committee 2018. The excess amount of fee, if any, is adjustable against the fee payable for next semester

CCA: Fees payable at the time of admission is Rs. 40,000 and the same is payable to Joint Admission Committee JAC 2018.

• Display of the list of Provisionally Selected Candidates: Allotment of seats is purely provisional and is subject to verification of original certificates and payment of University/Institute fee as applicable etc, at the time of reporting to JAC
• Selected candidates have to report for admission at allotted University/Institute on the date specified along with fee and the original documents/testimonials/certificates.

Merit List Preparation by DR. SSBUICET, UIET, UIET PUSSGRC, PEC, CCET and CCA:
JAC merit list will be prepared on the basis of JEE Main 2018 All India Rank published by CBSE and on the basis of the locked choices.

First Round of Allotment

• JAC Chandigarh Counselling Result for Round 1 has been declared online on 12 July 2018.
• The choices locked by the candidates during the main counselling will be processed centrally and the results will be available on the website.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to pay the admission fee and submit their willingness for participation for the subsequent rounds.
• Candidates are not required to go anywhere for Physical reporting after seat allotment.
• Based on candidate’s fee payment and willingness for participation in the subsequent round, allocated seats and vacant seats will be displayed for 2 round of counselling.

Second Round of Allotment

JAC Chandigarh Second Round of Seat Allotment has been declared on 20 July 2018. Candidates can click on the link to check their seat allotment result.

• No fresh registrations would be allowed in this round
• In the 2 nd round of seat allotment, the seat allotment process similar to the 1st round of counselling will be executed. This round of allotment will consider all the reserved categories as well except Sports and Defence Categories
• Who is eligible?
• Type 1: Registered candidates who were not allotted any seats in the first round of seat allotment
• Type 2: Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round of counselling and paid the admission fee as desired and also submitted willingness “Yes” for participation for the further rounds
• Type 3: Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round of counselling and paid the admission fee as desired and also submitted willingness “YES” for participation for the further rounds
• The choices locked by the candidates during the main counselling will be processed centrally and the results will be available on the website.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to pay the admission fee and submit their willingness for participation for the subsequent rounds.(Applicable only for Type 1)
• Candidates of Type-II. Their previously allotted seat remains unchanged. Their previous allotted seat will be retained in the same category or in the up-graded categories as per General seat allotment rules
• Candidates of Type –III may get a seat of higher preferred choice or their previously allotted seat may remain unchanged.

The result of Round 3 has been declared on 27 July 2018 online. The link to check the result is given above in this page. After this round, one last round will be conducted i.e. SPOT Round the dates of which are given in this page above.

Physical Reporting at finally Allotted Institute after Third round of Allotment

All the candidates who have paid the admission fee after seat allotment in the 1st round or in the 2nd round or in the 3rd round will have to physically report to the final Allotted Institute as per schedule to complete the admission process and attend the classes.

Final vacancy for Spot round of counselling will be published on the website before choice filling for spot round

Spot Round

• All registered candidates who have paid registration fee an amount of Rs. 1200 irrespective of whether any seat is allotted or not up to 3rd round are eligible for SPOT round of counselling.
• Candidates who have been admitted and physically reported after 3rd round and who do not wish to participate, will not be considered for seat allocation even in the category up-gradation.
• Candidates who have not been allotted any seat up to 3rd round are required to pay spot round participation fee an amount of Rs. 40,000 online using Debit card/Credit card/e-Challan before Choice Filling.
• If the seat is allotted, the participation fee will NOT be refunded. If a seat is not allotted, Spot round participation fee will be fully refunded
• The successfully allotted candidates have to report directly to the freshly allotted institute and complete the admission formalities.

• Choices filled by the candidates during earlier rounds of online counselling will not be valid for this spot round of counselling.
• JAC Chandigarh Spot Round Choice Filling submission and locking will be done tentatively from the second week of August 2018.
