IIIT Delhi Admission 2018 - The Merit list for IIIT Delhi has been released on 28 June 2018. The Merit list contains roll number, JEE Rank, JEE Marks, IIIT total marks of the selected candidates. The application process started on 31 May 2018. The admission to B.Tech Programme for the academic session 2018-19 and is based on JEE Main 2018 and done through JAC Delhi Counselling. About IIIT Delhi- Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi) is a state-owned university established by the Government of Delhi on 10 June 2008 under the IIIT Delhi Act, 2007. IIIT Delhi offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses. The B.Tech Streams available at IIIT Delhi Admission 2018 include:
- Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
- Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE)
- Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (CSAM)
- Computer Science and Design (CSD) - New Course
- IT and Social Science - New Course

IIIT Delhi Merit List 2018 - Released
Candidates will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained by him/her in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2018.
- Marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main 2018.
- Admissions for Foreign Nationals/PIOs/NRIs will be through DASA

IIIT Delhi Merit List and its Preparation
The Merit list of IIIT Delhi is available from 28 June 2018 and will be prepared in the following way:
- Bonus marks, if any
- The priority list will be based on the total of the above three.
- In the case of a tie, the candidate with a higher rank in JEE Mains shall rank higher. In case there is still a tie, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.
IIIT Delhi New Courses
The admission to the two new courses that are Computer Science and Design (CSD) and IT and Social Science (ITSS) is open to students from Humanities background as well. The students from Humanities/ Arts Background can apply to these courses at IIIT Delhi and the only condition for application is that the students should have Mathematics as a subject in Class 12.
In ITSS program, the students will study IT along with two social science subjects like economics, sociology or psychology.
In CSD Course the students will be prepared to work in the IT Industry as well as Digital Media Industry which includes Gaming, Animation, Virtual and Augmented Reality. The admission to CSD programme will be done based on UCEED score.
Joint Admission Counselling is conducted by JAC Delhi to offer admission in 21 Engineering Branches in 03 pioneering Technical Universities/Institutes viz. Delhi Technological University(DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT D).

IIIT Delhi Admission Eligibility criteria
Age: Candidate should be less than 25 years of age as on October 1, 2018.
Academic Qualification: Candidate must have secured 80% or more in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 80% only in Mathematics from a recognized board.
Relaxation of Marks for Reserved Category
- SC/ST: Relaxation of 10% marks in case of Mathematics as well as overall subjects.
- CW (Children or Widows of Eligible Armed Forces Personnel):
Relaxation of 5% marks in Class 12 exams. - PWD & OBC: Relaxation of 5% marks in Class 12 exams.
If Class 12 results of the student is not out by the last date of IIIT Delhi 2018. Application, they will not be eligible for admission.
IIIT Delhi B.Tech Eligibility for Foreign Students
- Must hold a valid foreign passport OR
- Must have completed Class 12 from an institute outside India with minimum 80% marks aggregate and Mathematics alone AND
- Must have a valid SAT score.
- Students can also get admission Directly via DASA through SAT.

Two Simple Steps for Admission
Step 1: Candidates have to register/ fill the Online Application form and pay the Counselling Participation Fee of Rs.1100.
Step 2: Candidates will have to fill the choices for the branches and University/Institute as per their preference.
Documents to keep Handy While Filling IIIT Delhi 2018 Application Form
- Original Class 12 mark sheet.
- JEE Main 2018 scorecard.
- Proof of date of birth.
- Residence proof
- Print out of Admission Letter issued by DASA.
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Class 10, 11 & 12 mark sheet or of the qualifying examination.
- For Indian Nationals, Proof of completion of 11th and 12th Standard or equivalent from outside India Standard or equivalent from outside India (Certificate from school authorities in the format given in Appendix III of DASA UG Admission Brochure).
- The Copy of candidate’s Passport (Nationals of Nepal who does not have a passport need to submit a copy of Authenticated Citizenship Card).
- Student Visa (If applicable)
- SAT Score Card (in case of candidates outside India)
- Medical Certificate from authorised Medical Practitioner for General Fitness.

Candidates have to pay the Application cum Registration Fee of Rs 1100. The candidates have to fill a common application form for IIIT Delhi, NSIT, IGDTUW and DTU.

IIIT Delhi Merit List and its Preparation
The Merit list of IIIT Delhi will be displayed on the official website on 3rd week of July 2018 and will be prepared in the following way:
- Total marks obtained in Paper I in JEE Main 2018, converted to the base of 60.
- The normalised score in Class 12, converted to the base of 40.
- Bonus marks, if any
- The priority list will be based on the total of the above three.
- In the case of a tie, the candidate with a higher rank in JEE Mains shall rank higher. In case there is still a tie, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.
