MMMUT Admission 2019, application process started from 17 January 2019 for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The admissions in MMMUT is done on the basis of undergraduate Entrance Exam. The Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur offers various undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (MBA, M. Tech, MCA, PhD) programmes to the students. The Result for Round 4 of Counselling has been declared online for candidates coming through JEE Main Route. The admission shall be made through the Malaviya Entrance Test (MET), and counselling will be conducted under the supervision and control of the University Admission Committee (UAC). The entrance exam for MMMUT Admissions 2019 was conducted on 10 and 11 May 2019 after the successful completion of the application process.

• Malaviya Entrance Test (MET)  2019 for B.Tech./MBA/MCA/M.Tech./PhD will be open only to the candidates who will pass the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of Uttar Pradesh. Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur was established in the year 2013 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh reconstituting the Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur.
• Earlier Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College was affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). The College was reconstituted as a residential technological university by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2013. It is the first university of this type in the state.

Qualifying Examination-

B. Tech

• Candidates must have passed or appearing Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 2018.
• The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks aggregate (40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) and also 50% marks in each of the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% marks in case of SC/ST).

Lateral Entry

Those candidates who completed their Diploma or Degree in the field of Engineering/ Technology except Agriculture Engineering will be eligible for admission direct in B.Tech 2nd year.

• Diploma holders: Candidate must clear 3/4 year Diploma examination from an Institution recognised by U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) without grace.
• B.Sc. graduates: Candidate must clear 3/4 year B.Sc. Degree from any recognised University of India as defined by UGC with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) without grace and having passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject.

For NRI Candidates 

• Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam considered equivalent to Class 12 by the Association of Indian Universities (OR)
• Must have passed High School Certificate Education (GCE) in Physics, Chemistry and Higher Mathematics (A) from London/ Cambridge/Sri Lanka.(AND)
• Must have appeared for SAT-II examination with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry. Their relative merit will be decided on their SAT-II score.
• Vacant Seats under NRI Quota: If any seats are left vacant in the NRI quota, the vacant seats are filled by real brothers/sisters and sons/daughters of NRIs who fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria.

Domicile-

• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P. and whose parents are domicile of U.P.

The MMMUT Application Form can be filled online as well as in offline mode. Candidates can fill the OMR application form in the due course of time via online mode only. Candidates can apply online at the official website of the university.

On completion of the On-line application form, the candidate should complete the printout of the generated confirmation page of application form by affixing his/her recent photograph (same as the one uploaded in application form) not older than 3 months, signature, left-hand thumb impression and the signature of his/her parent/guardian at the appropriate places. The duly completed copy of the confirmation page of the application form should be sent along with the University copy of bank receipt

Application Fee

Tuition Fee: Approximately Rs 1,09,800 per annum for B.Tech first year (including Hostel & mess fees). and Rs. 90,000 p.a. for Non-Hostellers

Fee Waiver Seats

For Economically Weaker Students: As per AICTE/UGC notification, the maximum of 5% seats of the approved intake in the respective B.Tech. courses will be available under Fee Waiver category for economically weaker meritorious candidates on supernumerary basis.The students admitted to such seats need not pay any tuition fee; however, such candidates will have to pay all other fees and charges as applicable.

The result of MET 2019 has been declared for BTech/ MBA/ MCA/ MSc-Physics and for MTech courses. The candidates who appeared in the exam can check the result by following the link given towards the end of this page. Based on the performance of candidates in Admission Test 2019, a separate merit list will be prepared for each course.

Counselling shall be carried out in order of merit of eligible candidates for Admission Test 2019 based on their Combined Rank, even if they belong to the reserved category at MMMUT, Gorakhpur. Counselling for offering admission shall be held in two steps namely “Document Verification” for verification of candidature and ‘On Spot Seat Allotment’ for an offer of admission

MMMUT Counselling Fee

Candidates appearing for counselling under MMMUT Admissions 2019 will have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 500 and Rs 10,000 as part of tuition fee which will be adjusted at the time of admissions. But, if a candidate fails to take admission on the allotted seat then the part of tuition fee paid at the time of counselling by the candidate will not be refunded.

• Language: The question paper will be both in Hindi and English
• Mode of Exam: Pen & Paper Based Test
• All question papers will carry objective multiple-choice questions.
• Answers will be evaluated by OMR methodology
• Test Duration: 3 hours
• Each objective type question shall have one correct answer and will carry four marks for the correct answer.
• There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
• Answers are to be marked using ball point pen (Black/Blue) only

MMM Gorakhpur Seats

The number of seats for B.Tech courses under MMMUT is as follows:

• NRI Seats: 5% of the total seats are reserved for NRI candidates as per state Govt/University norms.
• NRI Candidates / Kashmiri Immigrants Need NOT appear for MMMUT Admission Test 2018.
• The centre once allotted will not be changed. In special circumstances, the change of centre may be permitted with the approval of competent authority only.

Candidates belonging to UPGE category and seeking admission to 1st year of B.Tech. course and passed the qualifying examination from an institution situated in rural area of Uttar Pradesh will be given weightage of 3% of the total marks obtained in MMMUT 2018 Entrance Test.
