About IIIT Hyderabad Admission
IIIT Hyderabad Admission- International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is an autonomous private university in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was set up as a non-profit public-private partnership and is the country’s first IIIT. IIIT Hyderabad was set up as a research university and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time and doctorate courses. IIIT Hyderabad Admission is done on the basis of JEE Main exam. DASA, NTSE/ KVPY etc.
IIIT Hyderabad also offers various Undergraduate M.Tech, Ph.D., part-time and research programmes. International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Hyderabad) is part of the giant collaborative programme i.e., Technology Incubation centre ‘T-Hub’ which is meant to promote start-ups and innovators.

IIIT Hyderabad B Tech Admission 2018
IIIT Hyderabad offers admission in the various undergraduate course. For its B.Tech undergraduate courses, it offers admissions through the qualifying exam listed below. IIIT Hyderabad Admission Eligibility criteria
For IIIT Hyderabad Admission 2018 via JEE Main
- Candidates must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects with 60 % marks.
- Candidates must have appeared in JEE Main 2018.
- Candidates will be called for IIIT Hyderabad Counselling 2018 based on their JEE Main 2018 scores.
Detailed Information about JEE Main 2018
For IIIT Hyderabad Admission 2018 via DASA (For Foreign National/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRIs):
- Candidates must have completed Class 12th or equivalent with minimum 60 % marks by May 2018 or earlier.
- Candidates are required to satisfy one of the following conditions
- Should have studied in Class 11th and 12th or equivalent outside India
- Hold a foreign passport
- Candidates must have a score of 2000 or more in SAT (Physics+Chemistry+Mathematics II) (earlier known as SAT II).
- Scores from June 2018 onwards will be considered valid.
Detailed Information about DASA 2018
For admissions via NTSE and KVPY:
- Students who have qualified, NTSE, KVPY
- Must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects.
- Candidates will then have to appear for an entrance exam, the pattern for which changes every year.
for Admission via Olympiads:
Students who have been selected for training in Informatics, Science, Mathematics and Linguistics to represent India in the International Olympiads during class XI and XII are eligible under this mode. The certified olympiads are:
- International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)
- Science Olympiad (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy)
- Mathematics Olympiad
- International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL) / Paninian Linguistics Olympiad (PLO)
For Admission via Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (UGEE)
- Candidates need to qualify Class 12 or equivalent qualifying Examination with an aggregate of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
For Admission via Special Channel of Admission (SPEC)
- Candidates need to qualify class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and any one of the following:
- Students who qualified for the UDAAN scheme of CBSE
- Students in six-year integrated 12th + B. Tech Program after class 10th
IIIT Hyderabad Admission Application form and Admit Card
The website has started the registration process for some of the programmes for the admission in IIIT Hyderabad. The candidates can apply for IIIT Hyderabad 2018 only online. There is no offline process of filling the IIIT Hyderabad 2018 Admission Form.

The steps to fill the online application form is given below. Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully
- Step 1: Candidates need to fill the registration form for IIIT Hyderabad on its official website.
- Step 2: After registration, the candidates will receive an email with login credentials by which they need to fill the further application form.
- Step 3: The candidates need to fill the intermediate and JEE Main scores and all the compulsory details
- Step 4: At last, submit the application form and make the payment of the fees.
- Step 5: After submitting the application form, candidates will receive an email about the seat allotment.

IIIT Hyderabad 2018 Admission - Seat Allotment Fee
The important points regarding the seat allotment fee payable by the Institute are given below. Candidates are required to read the points carefully
For 1st round of Seat Allotment
The students have to pay Rs. 10,000 as seat allotment fee and Rs. 97,500 as tuition fee for the full semester for allotment of a seat in the 1st round, Once, this payment is made, the seat allotment to the student will be confirmed.
In case a student cancels the allotment, the seat allotment fee of Rs.10,000 will not be refunded. Only The tuition fee will be refunded as per the seat cancellation guidelines.
For 2nd round of Seat Allotment
- If a student is not allotted a seat in the 1st round of allotment, he/she has to pay Rs. 20,000 (Rs.10,000 towards Seat Allotment Fee and Rs.10,000 as tuition fee advance) to participate in further rounds of allotment.
- The student who has been allotted a seat in the 2nd/3rd/4th round has to pay balance tuition fee of Rs.87,500 towards tuition fee to accept the seat.
- If the student is allotted a seat in some programme in the 2nd/3rd/4th round of allotment and he/she does not want to accept the seat then the tuition fee advance of Rs. 10,000 only will be refunded out of Rs. 20,000 paid.
- If the student is not allotted a seat in any programme after all allotment rounds, an amount of Rs.19,000 will be refunded while retaining Rs.1,000 as processing charges.
- If a student does not want to participate in further rounds of allotment then he/she can cancel to participate and an amount of Rs.19,000 will be refunded.
IIIT Hyderabad Admission Result and Counselling
The IIIT Hyderabad Selection Criteria for each mode of admission is different. Therefore to ignore the confusion among the students, the selection process for each mode is given below:
For JEE Main
Candidates applying for the admission in IIIT Hyderabad through JEE Main will be selected on the basis of JEE Main 2018 Rank. Candidates should take JEE Main 2018 and must separately apply for IIIT Hyderabad counselling.
For DASA
The admissions through DASA for 2018-19 will be through the subject SAT (SAT II) scores. The main SAT scores are used to break ties.
- The primary ranking criterion is the total of SAT II scores in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. All applicants will be ranked based on the total marks first
For NTSE or KVPY (NOK)
For Olympiad
For UGEE
Admissions in UGEE will be based on performance in an entrance examination and an interview. Both will be conducted by IIIT Hyderabad.
For SPEC
Shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test. Then the qualified candidates will go through an interview. The overall selection will be based on the performance in both the sections.
For CLD and CHD
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test + background will be used for screening and Interview. Admissions will not be done through CCB Counselling
