Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology BDS Admission Eligibility criteria
Academic Qualification: Candidates who have passed Class 12 Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination from any recognised Board or CBSE/ICSE with minimum 60% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- Candidates must clear the NEET examination.
- Candidates who are appearing in Class 12 Board Exam in March/April 2018 can also apply but their admission will be provisional.
- The candidate should be born on or after January 1, 1997.
- Candidates should have passed 10th class or equivalent examination either in April 2014 or after, with minimum 60% marks.
Non-Eligibility
- Candidates passed in compartmental class/grade (or) passed with arrear/either in 10 class or in 12 class are not eligible for admission.
- Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and candidates of foreign origin are not eligible to appear for this BDS course.
Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology BDS Admission Application form and Admit Card
The candidates can apply for this BDS course the online mode only. This course is offered by Sathyabama Dental College affiliated with Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. Those candidates who want to get admission in this dental college must fill the NEET application form.
NEET 2018 Application Forms are available from 8 February 2018 in Online mode only. The candidates have to fill and submit NEET Application form through ONLINE mode only. The submission of fees is to be done through Online payment using the debit card and credit card, E-Challan, Net banking and e-wallet of Common Service Centre. The selection of candidates will be based on the score of NEET examination. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for Counselling, which will be conducted at the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology campus, Chennai.
- The candidates called for counselling will have to pay the counselling fee.
- The Counselling fee will have to be paid after the selection of the programme/branch. Counselling fee has to be paid by Demand-Draft drawn in favour of “Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology”, payable at Chennai.
Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology BDS Admission Exam pattern
Satyabhama Institute of SCience and Technolgy Admission will be done on the basis of NEET scores. NEET exam pattern is given in the detail below. There will be only one paper in NEET entrance exam, which will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode.
- Duration of Exam: 3 hours
- Total no. of Questions: 180 Multiple Choice Questions from the three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Four marks will be awarded for every correct response.
- Negative Marking: For every incorrect response one mark will be deducted from the total score.
- The Medium of Exam: From this year NEET question paper will be conducted in 8 languages that are Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
The questions would be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at centre only.
