About GBPUAT admission
GBPUAT Admission 2018 - Pantnagar University has released the admission notification for the academic session 2018-19 for admission to Undergraduate Degree Programs, Master's Program, MCA, and PhD Programmes. Admission to such program (except B. Tech) will be done on the basis of an entrance examination which will be conducted by G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. The GBPUAT application process will start from 16 February 2018 and the students will be able to fill the form through online mode. The last date to fill the application form of GBPUAT Admission 2018 - Pantnagar University is 31 March 2018.
About GBPUAT
G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) is the first agriculture university of India and is a purely residential University. The university is also regarded as the harbinger of Green Revolution in India. Admission to B.Tech program in GBPUAT will be based on JEE Main 2018 and the students are not required to appear in this exam.

GBPUAT admission Eligibility criteria
Domicile: Applications are invited from the Bonafide residents of Uttarakhand for admission in various undergraduate programmes through GBPUAT Entrance Exam 2018.
- Candidates other than Bonafide residents of Uttarakhand are not eligible to seek admission directly.
- The Wards of Kashmiri Migrants and J & K Residents may apply for admission to Undergraduate Programmes only.
- Candidate from other states may apply for admission to M.C.A., M.Tech. and Ph.D. Programmes only.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 22 years as on 30 June 2018 (for SC/ST candidates it is 25 years) except for B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme
- For B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, the candidate must have attained an age of 17 years as on or before 31 December 2018.
- This age limit may be relaxed in case of sponsored/nominated candidates.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor of Science Agriculture: Candidates must have studied Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology in Class 12 or equivalent examination with First class followed by First Class in High School or equivalent examination or at least 65% aggregate marks and 55% marks in High School or equivalent examination
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry: Candidate must have passed class 12 examination or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (40% in case of ST/SC/OBC) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- Bachelor of Fisheries Science: Candidate must have passed Class 12 examination or equivalent examination with Biology/Agriculture with at least 65% marks and 55% marks in aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent.
- Bachelor of Science (Home Science): Candidate must have passed Class 12 examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Biology with at least 65% marks and 55% marks in aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent.
- B.Sc Food Technology: Intermediate Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology.
The candidate(s) sponsored/nominated by the I.C.A.R./Govt. of India /State Govt./Indian Universities shall not be required to appear in the Entrance Examination
GBPUAT admission Application form and Admit Card
The application process for GBPUAT has started from 16 February 2018. The candidates who are willing to seek admission to Undergraduate Degree Programs, Master's Program, MCA, and PhD Programmes are suggested to fill the application form by following the link below. The application form can only be filled in an online mode.
The last date to fill the form is 31 March 2018. Hence, the candidates are suggested to fill the application form on or before the due date. The application fee can be paid via Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking.

Submission of the Application Form
The candidates after filling up the application form need to submit the same in order to complete the application process. However, before the final submission of the form, the candidates are suggested to ensure whether the details filled by them in the form are correct or not.
Attached documents should be put in the envelope of size 12X9 and superscribing “Application for Undergraduate/Masters’/ MCA/ M.Tech/ PhD”. Th confirmation page then along with the documents should be submitted to the following address

GBPUAT Admit Card 2018
GB Pant University Admit Card is now available to download from 21 May 2018 for the entrance exam scheduled to be held on 3 June 2018. The candidates who have successfully filled and submitted the GBPUAT application form can download the admit card by entering their Name, Date of Birth and G.B. Pant University Application Number. In case, if any candidates fail to download their admit card due to any reason, they can obtain a Duplicate Admit card at the examination centre by paying Rs. 20 rupee.
GBPUAT admission Fees
The candidates after filling up the application form need to make the payment of the application fee. The application fee for the General and OBC/ SC/ ST and PH category is different. Hence, the candidates should pay the fee accordingly. The application fee is given in the table below.

GBPUAT admission Result and Counselling
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their rank in the GBPUAT entrance exam. The cutoff marks for qualifying the agriculture entrance exam will be decided by the admission committee after the declaration of rank list of the candidates appeared in the Entrance Exam conducted by the University.
- Qualified candidates shall be called for counselling. Candidates will be informed about it through registered post to the address given by them.
GB Pant Medical Examination
- All the admissions are subject to the medical and physical fitness as per medical standards prescribe.The medical fitness certificate must be obtained either from the Chief Medical Officer of a district or a Chief Medical Supdt. of Govt. Base Hospital.
GBPUAT Counselling
- The qualified candidates, as per merit, shall be called for counselling on a specified date and time for consideration for admission to various Undergraduate Programmes.The counselling will continue till the last seat in each programme is filled-up.
- The candidate will be informed by registered post at their mailing address on the self-addressed envelope (unstamped) provided by the candidate
GBPUAT admission Exam pattern
Duration of Exam: 3 hours
Type of Questions: one objective type question paper.
It will be a multiple choice bilingual question paper in English and Hindi
Marking Scheme: Each question carries 3 marks and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
Total Marks: 600 marks. There will be three groups of papers as detailed below:

GB Pant University Entrance Exam Syllabus
The candidates who are going appear in the entrance examination must prepare for the examination on the basis of GB Pant University Entrance Exam Syllabus.
