NPAT 2018 B.Tech & MBA Tech Result Declared

NPAT, also known as NMIMS Programmes After Twelfth, the admission in these programmes is based on the entrance exam that is conducted by NMIMS. NPAT is an undergraduate entrance test conducted for admission to Undergraduate & Integrated Degree Program offered by Narsee Monjee College. BTech Admission

Academic Qualification: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam including international IB Diploma (IB certificate awarded is not eligible) with English as compulsory subject with science or science vocational.

• Candidates appearing for their final Class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply provided they should obtain the required minimum cut off marks

Minimum marks in Qualifying Marks: 50% marks in PCM for Mumbai campus & 45% marks in PCM for Shirpur campus. 

Not Eligible to apply for the course

• Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam by doing a part-time course or through distance learning/correspondence/externally/open school are not eligible to apply for the courses.
• Candidate passed with compartment is not eligible.Candidates should present single mark sheet.
• Candidate above 25 years of age is restricted to apply for undergraduate programs.

Equivalence of GPA to the % - Candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 examination from a Board/University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board/University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.

Steps to fill NPAT 2018 Application Form

STEP 1 - Register: The candidates need to register themselves by entering their name, DOB, email and contact address.

STEP 2 - Login: After successful registration, a registration id and Password will be generated and will be sent to the email id of the candidates through which the candidates can login further.

STEP 3 - In this stage, the candidates have to fill their Academic Qualification, Course Applied, Test Centre, Address and the School he/she is applying for.

STEP 4- Uploading Images: The candidates need to upload their recent passport size photograph in the online application form.

NPAT 2018 Admit Card

NPAT Admit Card is expected to be available from 7 May 2018 on the official website only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. 

Candidates need to know that no admit card will not be dispatched through the post to the candidates, so no correspondence in this regard will be considered. Admit Card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre.

The candidate must also carry any one of the following requisite original ID proof along with a photocopy of the same while appearing for NPAT 2018.

NMIMS NPAT 2018 Counselling

The NPAT counselling dates for the year 2018 has not released yet. The NPAT counselling dates given below are on the basis of last year. In the counselling session, candidates will be given admission to various disciplines as per their merit, choice, and availability of discipline as per eligibility criteria.

Provisional Admission

• For IB & Cambridge Candidate: Candidates called for admission counselling on the basis of NPAT merit list & who do not have final mark sheet will be given “Provisional Admission” based on the predicted score.
• Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed upon submission of final mark sheet if found eligible before the commencement of the program.

MPSTME Refund of Fees

Mukul Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering also have the provision of refunding the fees for the candidates admitted in its College under the following circumstances which are mentioned in the table below:

If a student joins the Institutions, and then leaves it in mid-session then the entire fees collected shall be forfeited.

NPAT Selection Process

Desirous candidates who wish to take admission in  B.Tech/ MBA (Tech) course. The program will be required to appear for online Test to be conducted at various locations in India.

• NPAT final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in NPAT 2018.
• The selection will be solely based on merit and preference given by the candidate for all programs The cut-off for deciding the merit shall lie solely with NMIMS.

• Duration of NPAT Exam: 100 minutes
• Type of Exam: Type and difficulty level of questions in NPAT 2018 will be on SAT Pattern. It will be an online objective type multiple-choice test. There will be no descriptive type of questions
• Negative Marking: For each Question with a wrong answer 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as penalty.

As per the standard practice, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust for slight differences in the difficulty level of different test items used across sessions.

NPAT 2018 Guidelines for Physically Challenged Candidates

Physically challenged candidates who wish to take assistant for NPAT 2018 must mention this at the time of Registration. The candidate must upload their Disability Certificate at the time of online registration. Any request, application and/or certificate received after the closure of Registration will not be accepted and the candidate will have to appear for the test without any assistance in spite of their special status.
