About Amrita School of Communication
Amrita School of Communication (ASCOM) conduct CAPTEST every year for admission at the Ettimadai campus to its 3 year B.A Mass Communication programme, 2 year M.A Communication programme and Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) offered at its Ettimadai (Coimbatore) campus. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of the 3 years B.A., based on their performance in the CAPTEST in Amrita University Coimbatore Campus.
Amrita has been among the few Indian Universities to have adopted the UNESCO Model Curricula for Journalism Education since 2008. The syllabus is updated annually by industry experts and academicians keeping in mind the demands of the industry.

There is No last Date to apply. As soon as the Application Form will be received by the University, the candidates will be issued the Admit Card by e-mail.
Amrita School of Communication Eligibility criteria
Candidate must have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks or equivalent qualification in aggregate from any of the institutes recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
Candidates belonging to foreign universities are required to obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.

Multiple applications by a single candidate will be rejected.The application will be treated as incomplete without payment. No change in CAPTEST 2018 Application Form data is permissible after submission.
CAPTEST Application Fee Submission
A demand draft of Rs 500 should be drawn in favour of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, payable at Coimbatore.

Documents Required to Send Along with Application Form
- 2 Photographs
- Attested photocopies of Class 10 and Class 12 Mark Sheets for B.A. applications
- Note: Candidates who have appeared for their 12th examinations and are awaiting results can produce attested copies of their 11th Mark sheets when they appear for the CAPTEST. Only at the time of joining, they have to produce their Class 12.
- A demand draft for Rs.500 made out in favour of “Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham” payable at ‘Coimbatore’.
- Transfer Certificate. (if applicable)
- Community Certificate (if applicable)
*Copy of provisional degree certificate/degree certificate should be produced at the time of writing the entrance exam.
Admit Card 2018 for CAPTEST
- An email will be sent in confirmation of his/her CAPTEST 2018 application form. This will be the CAPTEST 2018 hall ticket for the students.
- A copy of the CAPTEST 2018 hall ticket is to be carried to the exam hall.
- The CAPTEST 2018 test date will be informed via email.

Amrita School of Communication Result and Counselling
All candidates are required to appear for the CAPTEST conducted by Amrita University. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination CAPTEST (Entrance Exam). Those candidates who successfully cleared CAPTEST will be called for Personal Interview (PI).
For special cases, a SKYPE evaluation process can be arranged, subject to the discretion of the department. In such cases, the candidate is advised to attach a request letter (mentioning their SKYPE ID) to the admissions coordinator, along with the items mentioned in the Submission Check List.
Amrita School of Communication Exam pattern
CAPTEST is pen & paper and computer-based examination conducted by Amrita University. Candidates will be judged on the skills of communication, English grammar, Logical reasoning etc. followed by Personal Interview (PI).
