About ISI Admission 2019
ISI Admission 2019 will be based on Indian Statistical Institute Entrance Exam conducted by the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). ISI is the premier institute of statistical research in India established in 1931 and has its headquarters in Kolkata. The Entrance Test is required for ISI Admission 2019 to various undergraduate, postgraduate and Diploma Courses which are listed below. There are four centres of ISI located in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Tezpur. Teaching activities are mainly undertaken in Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. ISI Application Form 2019
Online Application: The online application will start from 5 February 2019. Candidates in India can apply online through the official website or by following the link given below this page. The applicant must have access to the Internet, an email account, acrobat reader and need to have a digital copy of his/her photo and signature in appropriate format and size.
- Candidates outside India: Candidates outside India can apply by sending an email to dean@isical.ac.in with subject Admission 2019 for the application procedure.
- Mode of payment: The challan generated by the online system must be taken to any branch of State Bank of India. The bank will accept only in cash the application fee as given above and bank charges (Rs. 60).
- Change of Course from B.Stat to B.Maths- A candidate who has applied to the
B Stat (Hons) programme shall have only one option at a subsequent stage to seek admission to the B Math (Hons) and vice versa. Candidates who wish to exercise this option must inform the Dean of Studies of their decisions either in writing or by sending an e-mail to isiadmission@isical.ac.in.
ISI admission 2019 - B. Maths (Hons) and B.Stats (Hons)
- Admission to B.Maths (Hons.) and B.Stats (Hons.) is discussed here and both courses are offered by the ISI as a comprehensive three-year degree program
Admission will be based on ISI entrance exam which will be a 4 hours exam and will have questions only on Mathematics. - Deserving Students get a Stipend of Rs. 3000 per month of B.Maths (Hons.) offered in Bengaluru and B.Stats (Hons.) offered in Kolkata. Stipends are granted in for one semester/academic year only and are renewed periodically if the progress of the student is found satisfactory
- There will be Direct Interview Call for eligible Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) awardees of any previous year. These students need to follow the application process but are exempt from appearing in the ISI entrance exam.
Switching from B Stat to B.Math or vice-versa
The candidate who has applied for the B Stat (Hons) can switch to B Math (H) or vice-versa between March and April 2019. To do so the candidate will have to inform the Dean of Studies of their decisions either in writing or through an e-mail to admissionsupport@isical.ac.in.
Career After B.Stat Honours at ISI Kolkata
- Higher Education: After B.Stat Honours at ISI Kolkata the students can pursue higher studies in areas of Statistics and Mathematics, as well as Computer Science, Economics and allied fields, or
- Jobs: Take up careers as Statisticians in research institutions and scientific laboratories, government departments or industries.
Career After B.Maths Honours at ISI Bengaluru
- Higher Education: After B.Maths Honours student can go for higher studies in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematical Physics, etc., or
- Jobs: Take up a career in applications of Mathematics.
ISI Admit Card 2019
ISI Admit Card will be available for download from 9 April 2019 for the candidates who have successfully submitted their application form with the required fee. They will be required to take a printout of the admit card and bring along on the exam day. ISI will also notify on the e-mail about the generation of the admit card, however, it is advisable for the candidates to keep a regular check for the same. ISI Admission 2019 Fees
Applicants have to pay the required application fee at the time of the submission of the application form for the admission to the Indian Statistical Institute. Applicants paying the application fee via bank in cash will have to pay Rs 60 Extra as processing charges.

ISI Admission 2019 Result and Counselling
Selection of candidates is based on merit as judged by their performance in written tests and interviews conducted by the Institute. There will be due considerations for the reserved categories. The selection will be merit-based depending upon their performances in selection stages. The decision of ISI in all admission related matters will be final. Finally, Applicants must note that their selections will be based on the performances of the following parameters.

ISI Admission 2019 Exam pattern
B.Stat. And B.Maths Paper will have both Objective and subjective type questions on their entrance tests. As per the ISI Exam Pattern, the Questions will only be on Mathematics Subject and questions would not be asked from other subjects.
- Forenoon Test will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Afternoon Test will have Descriptive Type Questions

ISI Admission 2019 Eligibility
Indian statistical institute offers various courses for UG, PG, JRF admission. Each course has its separate admission process. The candidates should go through ISI Eligibility criteria before applying for ISI Admission 2019.
ISI B.Stat (Hons.) & B.Maths (H) Eligibility
Successful completion of Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subjects of study at 10+ 2 level.
*Eligible Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) Awardees of any previous year need not sit for the written entrance exam. Such candidates would be directly called for interview but are required to apply in the prescribed application form like all other candidates.
ISI M.Statistics Eligibility
(i) 3-year Bachelor’s degree or a BE/B.Tech. degree in Statistics as a subject, or
(ii) B. Math. Degree from Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), or
(iii) PG Diploma in Statistical Methods and analytics from ISI
