TBJEE 2018 - Tripura Joint Entrance Exam 

TBJEE 2018 is a state level exam conducted by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) for admission to various engineering degree courses, Agricultural Courses, Veterinary Science, Fisheries. TBJEE Exam will be conducted on the basis of its new syllabus, and the TBJEE Exam will be held at the 9 test centres. TBJEE Exam was held on 25 and 26 April 2018 for which the result has been declared. This page provides the complete details on TBJEE exam dates, eligibility criteria, application process, etc.

Academic Qualifications

• Candidates who have passed/appeared/or appearing in 2018 at the class 12 examination from either Tripura Board of Secondary Education or CBSE/equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have studied the subjects in which they desire to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination.

• Candidates who want to get admission into Engineering / Technological Degree Courses (Group - A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Candidates seeking admission to Medical / Agricultural / Veterinary / Fishery and other such courses, (Group-B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• Those who are desiring to take chances in both of the above groups will have to appear in all the four subjects (Group-C)

Domicile of Tripura

The candidates must be a permanent resident of Tripura, or the parent of the candidates must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for minimum ten years immediately before the date of applying for TBJEE 2018.

• Manipur/Tripura: Children of All India Services Officers born in Manipur - Tripura and the children of the employees of State Government who have posted outside of Tripura will be eligible to appear at the examination irrespective of their earlier stay in Tripura.
• Government of Tripura/Officer: In case the candidates are not permanent resident of Tripura but their parent is an officer on assignment to the government of Tripura state/officer of the central government working in Tripura and has assisted in Tripura continuously for a duration of three years or more and passed class 12 examination from an Institution of Tripura he/she is eligible for appearing in the Examination.
•  Ex-Serviceman: In case of wards of ex-serviceman, either the candidate or his/her parents must have been staying in Tripura continuously for not less than five years immediately before the date of applying for TBJEE 2018
• Army / Navy / Air Force: Children of serving defence personnel (Army / Navy / Air Force) hailing from Tripura who has stayed in Tripura continuously for minimum 5 (five) years immediately before the date of applying for TBJEE 2018 and have passed Class 12 examination from any institution of Tripura.

The TBJEE application process will start from 2 January 2018; there are four ways to fill the application form. Therefore, the candidates can apply via any one of the four modes discussed below. The candidates can get the complete details on TBJEE application form by following the link given below. Deposition of fees should be made from 2 January to 31 January 2018. No application other than the aforesaid period shall be entertained by the Board. The last date of receipt of application at TBJEE office is 7 February 2018.

Mode 1: Counter Office: Candidates can obtain the TBJEE Application Form from the counter of the office of the below-mentioned address from 2 January 2018 on all working dates between 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM against the payment of Rs. 100. However, if the candidate is obtaining the application form on the last date then the timings will be 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Mode 2: From Designated Centres: TBJEE Application Form & Prospectus may also be collected from the following centres between the dates mentioned above on all working days during office hours on payment of Rs.100 in cash:

Mode 3: Postal Request: Candidates can make a postal request to TRIPURA BOARD OF JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION by sending Postal Order of Rs. 100 to TRIPURA BOARD OF JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, payable at Agartala Head Post Office.All postal requests must be accompanied by a self - addressed envelope of size 30 cm X 13 cm and a postage stamp of Rs.5 affixed to it

Mode 4: Download the form: Candidates can also download the TBJEE application form Prospectus and e-challan. 

The duly filled in Application Form will also be accepted provided the applicant makes payment of Rs. 100 only in cash and deposits the respective examination fees through bank challan along with the other charges at any branch of State Bank of India and submit the challan (Board’s part) in addition to the other necessary enclosures.

TBJEE 2018 Admit Card

TBJEE 2018 admit card will be available on the official website on March 3rd week 2018 only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. Candidates need to know that admit card will be dispatched via post to the candidates. An admit card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre.

Application & Prospectus Fees TBJEE Fees is divided into two parts- one is application form & prospectus fees which are Rs. 100 which has to be paid in cash at the TBJEE Counter office or the designated centres given above.

Examination Fees

The examination fee has to be paid only through the SB Bank Challan. Download Bank Challan. Candidates can download the e-challan to deposit the examination fees at any branch of State Bank of India.

• In that case, the candidates have to deposit bank commission/other charges in addition to a number of exact examination fees.
• In case candidates deposit it at SBI, Agartala (Melarmath) Branch, no exchange fees/commission/service charges, etc. will be charged.

The Tripura state government have released the TBJEE Answer Key 2018 on 27 April 2018. Tripura Board has also declared the TBJEE result on 23 May 2018. TBJEE 2018 Selection Procedure

On the basis of the exams, a merit list will be prepared for admission to Engineering, Technical, Medical, and other Professional Degree Courses against available seats reserved for the State of Tripura

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in TBJEE 2018 followed by Counselling.The admission of the candidate to a particular College/University will be subjected to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria considering cut-off marks and other norms as specified by the respective departments of State & Central Government/ Institution/ Council/ Body etc.

TBJEE Counselling 2018

TBJEE 2018 Question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The question paper given to the candidates will be provided in English with the Bengali language.

• Duration of exam: 2 hours duration (each exam)
• Mode of exam: Pen and Paper based
• The total number of question: 200 questions for Group C and 150 Questions for Group A and B. 
• Two marks will be awarded for the right answer, and there is no negative marking for the wrong answers.
• The candidate has to answer the questions on an OMR sheet using a black/blue ball point pen only.

There will be a separate test Booklet for individual subjects. Each Subject Exam will be for 2 hours

• Group A:  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics - Engineering / Technical Degree Courses 
• Group B: Physics, Chemistry, Biology - Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Science
• Group C: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics

TBJEE Syllabus

The syllabus for each subject is divided into 10 Modules. A Module carries ten marks. The Government has approved the revised TBJEE syllabus. Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination will follow this syllabus from the year 2018 onwards for holding Tripura Joint Entrance Examination. The candidates willing to appear TBJEE 2018 onwards may collect the new syllabus from the office of the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination, Old Secretariat Complex, Finance Building (2nd Floor), Agartala on all working days.
